Delegation No. 6 visits Truong Sa and DK1 platform.

The delegation took officers and students from the Army Officer School 1, the Military Technical Academy, the Air Defense-Air Force Academy, and the Artillery Officer School to visit the military and civilians in Truong Sa, the DK1 platform, and for research and study.

At the islands and the DK 1/7 Huyen Tran platform, the delegation listened to reports from the unit commanders on the results of their work over the past period. Accordingly, despite many difficulties in living and working conditions, the officers, soldiers, and people on the islands and platforms have always been united, highly determined, and strictly disciplined, successfully completing their assigned tasks.

The islands and offshore platforms have done a good job in civilian outreach, creating many favorable conditions to help fishermen from the central provinces go out to sea to exploit and catch seafood. The island's medical team regularly provides free medical examinations and treatment for fishermen.

During the trip, the delegation held a memorial ceremony for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting maritime sovereignty in the Truong Sa archipelago and the DK1 area; offered incense at the Martyrs' Memorial and temples on the islands; and held a flag-raising ceremony with the military and civilians of the Truong Sa Special Zone.

The delegation coordinated with the islands to organize cultural, artistic, and sports exchange activities between delegates and the military and civilians on the islands; visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to officers, soldiers, and people, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and close ties.

Speaking at the islands and offshore platforms, Colonel Nguyen Duc Dien acknowledged and commended the officers and soldiers for their unity, overcoming difficulties, steadfastly staying at sea, on the islands and offshore platforms, and successfully fulfilling their assigned tasks.

The head of the working group noted that in the coming period, officers and soldiers on the islands and offshore platforms need to build on their achievements, implement comprehensive solutions tailored to the practical situation, handle situations at sea effectively, and avoid being caught off guard.
