Behind the festive programs lies the dedication of people who contribute daily to creating a vibrant image for the city's service industry.
Prepare meticulously at every stage.
One morning in late December, amidst the lingering mist, the grounds of the Mount Than Tai Hot Spring Park were bustling with the sounds of pruning shears, vehicles transporting materials, and the chatter of people discussing work, echoing across the sprawling green spaces. Technical and landscaping teams were present early to prepare the area, ready to welcome the anticipated surge in visitors in the early days of the new year.
According to Ms. Le Thi Bich Huong, Director of Communications and Marketing at the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park Tourist Area, the landscape directly impacts the visitor experience. "Visitors can easily tell whether the space is well-maintained or not. Therefore, the end of the year is when the landscaping department works at its highest intensity," Ms. Huong shared.

At Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa, preparations for the peak season begin months in advance. From technology and cuisine to spatial design and the organization of experiential activities, every aspect is meticulously planned to ensure smooth operation during peak periods.
The highlight of the resort is the series of spring activities taking place at Mikazuki Water Park 365. During the Lunar New Year, the space and experiential programs here are revamped, combining modern entertainment with traditional cultural activities such as calligraphy, lion and dragon dances, traditional folk games, water music and fire dance performances, etc.
Behind that bustling scene lies considerable pressure on those directly involved in operations. Many employees in the tourism industry barely get a full vacation due to the increased workload. Ms. Do Hoang Duyen, an employee at Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa, said she has spent three consecutive New Year's Eves at work. "At first, I felt a little disheartened, but then I got used to it. When guests are satisfied, I find the job more meaningful," she shared.
Create more jobs and income.
Besides attracting tourists, the year-end peak season also has a positive impact on the livelihoods of many local communities.

At the Dong Giang Sky Gate Eco-tourism Area, preparations for the New Year are being carried out comprehensively, from completing infrastructure and beautifying the space to rehearsing folk songs and dances to entertain tourists. Ms. Dang Pham Trieu Van, the managing director, said that there are currently about 300 workers employed regularly or seasonally, mostly local people from the mountainous region. The peak season not only increases visitor capacity but also creates job opportunities, providing local people with additional income in the final months of the year.
At Hoiana Resort & Golf, this year's festival is centered around celebrating the natural beauty and local culture of Hoi An. According to Ms. Du Thi Mai Anh, Director of Destination Marketing at Hoiana Resort & Golf, the resort prioritizes the use of locally sourced products such as lanterns, pottery, and traditional decorative materials. This has led to a large number of orders from craft villages, providing stable employment for many artisans who previously worked on a small scale, helping them maintain their craft amidst a volatile market.

Meanwhile, the God of Wealth Festival is an annual event held at the beginning of each year by the Mount Than Tai Hot Spring Park Tourist Area. The festival offers visitors a traditional cultural experience through New Year rituals, folk games, and artistic performances that reflect the local identity.
Ms. Le Thi Bich Huong shared that maintaining the festival not only creates a highlight for tourism products at the beginning of the year but also contributes to creating more seasonal jobs for people in the surrounding area. Many households that previously mainly worked in agriculture now have additional income from participating in serving the festival or selling handicraft products.

Not only tourist destinations, but many related service industries are also entering a busy period. In the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), lion and dragon dance troupes in Da Nang have almost full schedules performing at hotels, tourist areas, and shopping malls. According to Mr. Phung Dinh Mai, inviting these troupes to perform not only creates a festive atmosphere but also shares economic benefits with the local creative community.
As the city enters its busiest season of the year, the tourism industry not only contributes to the vibrant colors of the festivals but also spreads benefits to the community.
