In line with the preparations to welcome tourists to Quang Tri for beach holidays and experiences, the Cua Viet Tourism Service Center (Sepon Boutique Resort) is currently focusing on reviewing all its facilities, renovating the grounds, upgrading rooms, investing in additional sports fields, checking security and fire safety systems, and conducting training courses for its staff... with a total estimated cost of nearly 1 billion VND to be ready for the peak beach tourism season in 2025.
According to Le Hoang Linh, Director of Sepon Boutique Resort: “Although the number of bookings for holidays in April is still quite low compared to the same time last year, the resort is determined to overcome difficulties and ensure stable employment for its 65 current employees. In addition to maintaining the quality of its accommodation products and services, Sepon Boutique Resort is also flexible in adjusting room rates on weekdays; providing shuttle services for long-stay groups and large parties during this year's tourist season to attract visitors.”
In particular, Sepon Boutique Resort is investing in and will put into operation a pickleball court this summer to serve the recreational and sports training needs of tourists; adding more delicious, characteristic local dishes to the menu, helping tourists have more enjoyable experiences when visiting Sepon Boutique Resort.
With a maximum accommodation capacity of 200 guests per day, and dining services catering to over 2,000 guests per session, Sepon Boutique Resort is offering many attractive promotions for customers booking rooms, dining, and using other services at the resort during this year's tourist season.
Not only resorts, restaurants, and hotels, but also food and beverage businesses at beaches like Thai Lai, Cua Tung, Cua Viet, and My Thuy are busy renovating their facilities to prepare for tourists. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, owner of the Hoe Tuyet food and beverage business at Thai Lai beach, Vinh Thai commune, Vinh Linh district, said that for this year's beach tourism season, her restaurant has invested nearly 30 million VND to renovate the premises, purchase additional tables and chairs, freezers, and electric fans to be ready for the peak season. In addition, the restaurant has also contracted with several boat owners to prepare fresh, delicious seafood, a specialty of Vinh Thai, to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.”
April is also the time when Con Co Island becomes bustling with daily high-speed ferry trips carrying tourists to the island for sightseeing and relaxation. As a pioneering and dedicated business in Con Co Island tourism, the Director of Ken Travel, Pham Hoang Phuong, shared that although tourism businesses have faced many difficulties and challenges due to natural disasters, epidemics, and the volatile socio -economic context, domestic tourism, including beach and island tourism, is becoming a common trend for many tourists. By innovating tour formats and routes, improving service quality, and with the cooperation and support of the local government, in 2024, Ken Travel brought approximately 1,000 tourists to Con Co Island for sightseeing and experiences.
To prepare thoroughly for the 2025 beach and island tourism season, the company continues to innovate, develop new ideas, and implement promotional programs and gift giveaways for tourists who book tours to visit the sea and islands of the homeland. The company also hopes that Con Co Island will increasingly improve its tourism infrastructure, and that more appropriate mechanisms and policies will be implemented to encourage travel agencies, businesses, and investors to collaborate and work together with the district to develop tourism in the near future.
In particular, tourism and service businesses in the province always hope to receive more attention and support from local people in prioritizing and choosing local tourism and service businesses for booking, consulting, and designing tours and travel routes. This will help businesses affirm their brand and position, and at the same time help the province's tourism industry develop further.
It is evident that, in order to find opportunities amidst difficulties and challenges, travel agencies and tourism service businesses are currently pouring all their efforts into proactively and creatively utilizing digital technology to best prepare for a promising season of positive changes in the coastal and island tourism industry.
Currently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed its specialized departments, tourism service businesses, travel agencies, restaurants, hotels, and relevant localities to actively prepare for the tourism and festival season, focusing on investing in infrastructure, environmental sanitation, ensuring food safety, and developing plans to ensure security, order, and traffic safety.
In addition, the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center is stepping up its efforts in disseminating information, promoting and introducing the unique tourist destinations of Quang Tri, including beach and island tourism, to visitors through various means, including mass media, fanpages and Facebook groups such as "Visit Quang Tri", "Checkin Quang Tri"; trade fairs, seminars, etc.
Simultaneously, emphasis should be placed on regional and local linkages with domestic and international localities that have large and stable tourist markets, in line with the local market development orientation, in order to make Quang Tri's beaches and islands in particular, and tourist destinations in the province in general, attractive destinations on the tourism map.
