On the evening of November 17th, at Phan Ngoc Hien Square (An Xuyen Ward), the Ca Mau Provincial Youth Union organized the "unique crab race" competition, one of the unique highlights of the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival – 2025.

The race track is approximately 2.5 meters long.

The competition featured 32 teams, each consisting of 2 people, with 4 teams participating in each round, attracting enthusiastic cheers from hundreds of locals and tourists. Notably, teams that did not bring crabs were provided with sea crabs by the organizers to select suitable "athletes".
As the race begins, when the referee gives the signal, the competing teams simultaneously pull down the barriers, allowing the crabs to start their "race" to the finish line. The crab that reaches the finish line fastest will advance to the semi-finals, and then the finals.

The "athlete" crabs were provided by the organizers to assist teams that did not bring their own crabs.
