Innovating the work of the Fatherland Front to better serve the people.

Delegates argued that, in order to effectively implement the directives of General Secretary and President To Lam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to continue streamlining its organizational structure and innovating its methods of operation.

Following the directive speech of General Secretary and President To Lam at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress this morning (May 12), delegates expressed their agreement, affirming that these are very important orientations, serving as a compass for the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of their activities, in order to meet the requirements and better serve the people in the new term.

Delegates attending the Congress expressed their concerns regarding the request of General Secretary and President To Lam to make the work of the Fatherland Front more substantive, especially the General Secretary and President's emphasis on using the people's trust as a measure of the Front's effectiveness.

Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh (delegate to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front) stated that the General Secretary and President's directives on Fatherland Front work are profoundly significant. They emphasize that the satisfaction and benefits of the people must be the goal in evaluating the effectiveness of movements and campaigns. "In the activities of the Fatherland Front, as well as other political and social organizations, we are determined to do things practically and achieve tangible results," Ms. Hanh said.

Mr. Ho Thanh Thuy (delegate to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front) said: "What I appreciate most is the speech by the General Secretary and President, who directed the Fatherland Front to be close to the people, to be connected with the people, to transform specific tasks into actions that resonate with the people, tasks that are not just on paper but must be put into practice in the lives of the people."

In response to the request from General Secretary and President To Lam to improve the quality of social supervision and criticism, participate in building the Party and the State, and innovate activities to be closer to the people, delegates attending the Congress believe that this is a very important highlight, helping to elevate the activities of the Fatherland Front, while contributing to better ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

"This is a very new direction, not just focusing on individual cases, but linking it to the impact from a policy perspective, that is, elevating social supervision and criticism from the policy level and implementation mechanisms down to the organizational level. If the Fatherland Front can do this, I believe the effectiveness will increase significantly," commented Mr. Tran Dinh Thien (delegate to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front).

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Anh (delegate to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front) emphasized: "If we want to offer constructive criticism, we must have in-depth knowledge of the areas we want to critique. The Fatherland Front is an extremely necessary and important channel for criticism, conveying the people's message to the competent authorities, and that is a very effective approach."

"General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed that the people and the Party are bound together by blood and flesh, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front itself must accelerate its engagement with the people. We recognize that it is not only Party members who possess Party spirit, but the people also possess a very high level of Party spirit, because it is from the people that Party members emerge to build a better socialist country," said Mr. Nguyen Hoai Bac (delegate to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front).

The delegates also stated that, in order to effectively implement the directives of General Secretary and President To Lam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations need to continue to do even better in streamlining their organizational structures and innovating their operating methods to become more effective under the common umbrella of the Fatherland Front.
