In Thot Not district, there are 10.357 members working in 145 grassroots trade unions. Over the past time, the District Labor Confederation has organized many practical and effective activities to attract employees and employees to participate. Notably, the District Labor Confederation deployed dialogue models in industrial parks in the district and grassroots. For the 2018-2023 term, the District Labor Confederation successfully organized 2 dialogues between district government leaders and workers and union officials; all 24 enterprises with trade unions in the area held 486 periodical and irregular dialogues. Every year, the district Labor Confederation directs the affiliated trade unions to coordinate with the authorities at the same level to organize the meeting of cadres and civil servants, and the labor conference to achieve 100% of the target. The District Labor Confederation established the models of "Safe Workers' Hostels", "Six Guarantees" in the enterprise. Thereby contributing to timely resolution of problems and recommendations arising at the facility.

Mr. Quoc Tuyen expressed: "As a garment enterprise with a high focus on production, it is sometimes difficult to propagate and gather students to participate in activities and movements. I and the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of the Company flexibly organized the propaganda of regimes and policies, popularized legal education, etc. through the internal loudspeaker; giving gifts to workers in each production workshop on holidays and Tet.
According to statistics of the Can Tho City Labor Confederation, the whole city has 1.203 Communist Trade Unions with 58 full-time trade union officers and 4.960 part-time trade union officers. In the spirit of "If a trade union is strong, then it will take good care of its members and employees", the city's labor union focuses on improving the quality of its staff of trade unions at all levels; pay attention to training and fostering to build a contingent of trade union cadres with capacity, intelligence, bravery, enthusiasm, responsibility and prestige to gather employees.

The city's trade union staff is always interested in capturing the thoughts and aspirations to promptly solve the legitimate concerns of the members and employees; develop regulations on close coordination between trade unions and functional agencies in order to have a legal corridor to deal with issues related to the interests of members and employees. Promoting the ownership of employees, in the 2018-2023 period, trade unions at all levels have actively coordinated with heads of agencies, units and enterprises to review, amend, supplement, complete and issue 395 new regulations democracy in the unit; 100% of units organize conferences of cadres, civil servants and public employees; 100% of state-owned enterprises, 73,5% of non-state enterprises hold employee conferences. The social and charity activities of the city council are maintained and expanded. From 2018 up to now, the city's trade unions have supported the construction of 237 community shelters for students and workers with difficult circumstances in housing with a total amount of 9,61 billion dong; awarded 4.191 scholarships with a total value of over 2,9 billion VND to the children of workers who overcame difficulties and studied well; hardship allowance for 134 cases of workers, officials and workers suffering from serious diseases, with the amount of 290 million dong; visited and gave gifts to 107 cases of workers having occupational accidents, with an amount of VND 117 million…
