Speaking with reporters, Team Leader of Market Management Team No. 3, Le Bao Hanh, said: Market Management Team No. 3 is assigned to manage the markets in Co To, Van Don, and Cam Pha. In fulfilling its assigned functions and duties, from the beginning of the year, the unit has proactively advised the leaders of the Provincial Market Management Department and local authorities to issue plans to strengthen market inspection and supervision, preparing for the summer tourist season.

Closely monitoring the characteristics of each area, the unit has assigned specific officers to be in charge of each region, especially at markets, food service establishments, souvenir shops, and places with a high risk of violations when customer numbers increase. In addition, Market Management Team No. 3 also closely coordinates with the police, health authorities, and local governments to deploy inter-agency task forces, conduct surprise inspections of hotspots, and promptly detect and strictly handle acts of selling counterfeit and substandard goods, as well as violations of food safety and hygiene regulations.

According to statistics, during the recent April 30th - May 1st holiday, Co To and Van Don districts welcomed nearly 82,000 tourists. Despite the significant increase in visitors, the market remained relatively stable, with no unreasonable price increases or sales of substandard or counterfeit goods. This success is largely due to the decisive and systematic measures taken by Market Management Team No. 3 in market inspection and control. The unit focused on controlling high-demand items during the summer tourist season, such as food, beverages, and souvenirs, to prevent counterfeit, substandard, and counterfeit goods.

Food safety violations are also regularly inspected to protect consumer health. Market Management Team No. 3 has advised localities to issue directives and coordinate with functional forces to strengthen inspections at hotspots such as markets, shopping areas, food service establishments, souvenir shops, etc. At the same time, officers are on duty 24/7 to receive information and promptly inspect and handle violations.

"Besides handling violations, we focus on guiding and educating business owners to voluntarily comply. The goal is to create a civilized and safe tourism environment that satisfies tourists, thereby maintaining the reputation of the entire locality," added Le Bao Hanh, Team Leader of Market Management Team No. 3.

With proactive, decisive, and effective solutions, from the beginning of April until now, Market Management Team No. 3 has detected and handled 6 violations, imposing administrative fines of over 135 million VND and destroying infringing goods worth 145 million VND. This has contributed to building the image of Quang Ninh as a friendly, safe, and civilized destination. In the coming time, Market Management Team No. 3 will continue to deploy mobile task forces, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and encourage people and businesses to sign commitments not to trade counterfeit, fake, or goods of unknown origin. A hotline will also be maintained to receive feedback from residents and tourists.
