Get ahead of the MICE tourism season!

With its convenient transportation and relatively well-developed infrastructure, Thanh Hoa is currently a popular destination for MICE ( Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism. Anticipating the peak season for MICE tourism, tourism service businesses have largely completed renovations and launched many attractive promotional programs.

Towards the end of the year, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourists visiting Thanh Hoa mainly concentrate in coastal tourist areas and Thanh Hoa City. We believe that these promotional policies, along with high-quality service, will contribute to elevating the destination in particular and the MICE tourism products of Thanh Hoa in general.”

In Sam Son City, several hotels have completed renovations to their conference rooms, investing in additional sound and lighting equipment, and are ready to welcome guests during the peak MICE tourism season at the end of the year. Among them, Bien Nho Premium Resort & Spa has launched a program for MICE guests called "Professional Conferences - A Foundation for Success." With two conference rooms accommodating 500 and 150 guests respectively, along with many convenient services, Bien Nho Premium Resort & Spa will offer a 15% discount on conference rooms and sound and lighting equipment; for MICE guests who also use accommodation and dining services, there will be a 50% discount on conference rooms and a 30% discount on all room types.

According to Tran Thi Nhung, Deputy Director of Bien Nho Premium Resort & Spa: “To prepare for MICE tourism, we quickly finalized the arrangement of suitable spaces and launched promotional programs from mid-September. In addition, to attract MICE guests at the end of the year, along with conferences and seminars, we also provide health and wellness services such as high-end Korean Jim Jil Bang sauna and deep tissue therapy, Jacuzzi, therapeutic massage... This enhances the quality of service and contributes to elevating MICE tourism.”

According to travel agencies, Thanh Hoa province has significant advantages in attracting MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourists. However, given the challenging economic situation in 2024, the number of MICE visitors may decrease by 10-15% compared to 2023. Therefore, MICE service providers need to flexibly adjust prices, develop additional amenities, and collaborate with travel agencies to boost tourism during the off-season.

According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province currently has approximately 1,300 accommodation establishments, 235 condotels, 800 villas, and 1,000 restaurants. Along with a convenient transportation system, this is considered a competitive advantage for Thanh Hoa compared to other localities in the region, creating an attraction for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourists in the last months of the year. Furthermore, Thanh Hoa province has been focusing resources on improving tourism infrastructure and attracting investment in many high-class resort, health care, sports, and entertainment complexes that meet regional and international standards. Hopefully, these will be important foundations for the continued development of MICE tourism products in Thanh Hoa in the future.
