The project to resettle residents in the disaster-stricken area of Lao Vang village, Phin Ngan commune, Bat Xat district (now Bat Xat commune) was implemented from 2022, with a scale of 70 households and a total investment of over 20 billion VND.

Before the Lunar New Year, many households had moved into the resettlement area; however, the infrastructure, especially the electricity system, was still incomplete.
The power shortage significantly impacts people's daily lives and production, leaving them feeling uneasy about settling down.
In light of this situation, the Bat Xat Regional Power Company, in coordination with the investor, the Bat Xat Regional Investment and Construction Project Management Board, has accelerated the construction progress of the power grid infrastructure, ready to energize the system once technical requirements are met.

The electrical infrastructure of the Lao Vang resettlement area, implemented by the Bat Xat Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board, includes a 250kVA-35/0.4kV transformer station, a medium- and low-voltage power line with a total length of 1.1 km, and the installation of 70 single-phase PCL electronic meters to provide electricity for the residents of the resettlement area.
Mr. Trinh Ngoc Ha, Deputy Head of Bat Xat Power Company, said: Bat Xat Power Company has focused its human resources and equipment, coordinating closely with local authorities and construction units to complete the power connection on schedule, ensuring technical safety and quality of the project.
During the power supply process, Lao Cai Power Company supported people by not charging labor fees for pulling wires and connecting after the meter, contributing to reducing costs and creating conditions for households to quickly access and use safe and stable electricity.

According to the head of Lao Vang village, Chao Duan Phau, 19 households have moved to the resettlement area so far. The villagers hope that the Bat Xat Investment and Construction Project Management Board will direct the construction unit to speed up the progress of the remaining items so that people in the landslide-prone area of Lao Vang village and the surrounding areas can move here before the rainy season.
