In addition, to help disadvantaged children, youth union branches at all levels have also called for and mobilized social resources to build "Red Scarf" houses. This has promptly encouraged and motivated the children to strive in life, study well, and become good children and excellent students. Duong Ngoc Mai (Da Bac area, Phuong Nam ward, Uong Bi city) shared: "I am very happy and excited to receive the attention and help from everyone to rebuild my family's house. This is a great encouragement that helps me to excel in my studies."

It is known that Mai's circumstances are very difficult. Her father suffers from mental illness, and her mother is in poor health, raising three children on her own. The old house where Mai's family lives is in serious disrepair. Sympathizing with her family's situation, the Uong Bi City Youth Union, in coordination with the Phuong Nam Ward People's Committee, conducted a survey and appealed to local departments, organizations, and other benevolent units to contribute to building a "Red Scarf" house for Mai's family.

The house, completed in July 2022, has an area of 30 square meters and a total cost of over 130 million VND. Of this amount, the Uong Bi City Youth Union contributed 50 million VND, the Phuong Nam Ward Youth Union contributed 15 million VND, Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Company donated 10 tons of cement, the Phuong Nam Ward Fundraising Committee for the Poor contributed 5 million VND, and the Ward Farmers' Association provided sanitary equipment worth 2.2 million VND.
