Over the past five years, the "Accompanying Women in Border Areas" program has mobilized over 16 billion VND to implement many practical activities supporting women and children in border areas. Notably, the Border Guard units have coordinated to organize 28 literacy classes and prevent relapse into illiteracy; 86 training and awareness classes; support the construction of 12 livelihood models; and donate 34 "houses of compassion" to disadvantaged women and members. These social welfare and livelihood support activities have contributed to helping many families stabilize their lives, increase their income, and actively participate in protecting national sovereignty and border security.
At the conference, delegates focused on evaluating the results of the program implementation during the 2021-2025 period, sharing best practices and effective models; discussing, agreeing upon, and signing cooperation agreements for the 2026-2030 period. Accordingly, the two units will continue to promote propaganda and mobilization efforts tailored to each locality and target group; strengthen social welfare activities, caring for the material and spiritual lives of women and children in border areas; and support the enhancement of women's digital transformation capacity through the "Vietnamese Women" application and the AI assistant " Thanh Hoa Women - Living Confidently, Understanding the Law".

The Border Guard and the Women's Union of Thanh Hoa province signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2026-2030.
The program aims to support at least one livelihood model in each border commune by 2030; maintain or establish at least one cultural, artistic, or sports model managed by women; and build and maintain five models of "Green vegetable gardens, clean and beautiful houses, tidy kitchens, and livestock pens away from houses," and eleven models of "bright villages in border areas."
