To facilitate access to capital for family economic development for all poor and low-income women, TYM Nam Dinh has always focused on expanding its membership, having mobilized 27,610 customers by May 2025. To help women easily access loans, TYM extends its services to villages, hamlets, and residential areas; it does not charge application fees, the procedures are quick and efficient, meeting customer needs; loans do not require collateral; loan amounts are small and gradually increase over the years; loans can be repaid multiple times; and repayments are made gradually weekly/monthly… Currently, TYM offers many flexible loan products for customers to choose from with diverse repayment options such as every 4 weeks or monthly; a maximum loan amount of 50 million VND; and the ability to borrow up to 3 loan products simultaneously with preferential interest rates.
In particular, from 2024 to the present, due to the difficult domestic economic situation and the impact of natural disasters on many provinces and cities, TYM has adjusted its lending interest rates five times to support customers in restoring production and business, developing the economy, and stabilizing their lives. From July 2024, TYM also adjusted its capital products, procedures, and lending targets to comply with Circular 33/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank of Vietnam , such as: establishing regional loan groups, where the average income of borrowers in rural areas is 7 million VND/month/customer, and in urban areas 9 million VND/month/customer; expanding the target group to include individuals representing households in poor and near-poor households, with a maximum loan amount of 100 million VND… Through these efforts, many women members and women in difficult circumstances have access to capital to invest in production development and stabilize their family economies. In the first five months of 2025, TYM Nam Dinh province disbursed over 268 billion VND to 7,150 borrowers. Assessments of loan utilization showed that most borrowers used the capital effectively and for the intended purpose, with high repayment rates, affirming the effectiveness and practicality of TYM's capital for poor women.
In addition to economic development capital, prioritizing poor women, TYM also provides loans to poor and near-poor households at preferential interest rates of 0.28%/4 weeks for poor households and 0.4%/4 weeks for near-poor households to develop family businesses and achieve sustainable poverty alleviation. Also, in the first five months of 2025, the province had 120 poor and near-poor customers and 15 disabled customers affected by HIV/AIDS who received loans. Along with lending activities, TYM Nam Dinh branch also promotes savings activities, fostering saving habits among its customers. From the beginning of the year, the branch developed a plan and assigned targets to each TYM staff member to mobilize savings. Customers are required to deposit a minimum of 1% to 5% of their savings, depending on the year of participation, and are also encouraged to make voluntary savings deposits of at least 80,000 VND per week for 4 weeks. With small deposit amounts, TYM is easily accessible to customers, suitable for their living conditions and income, thus attracting many women to participate in savings programs. To date, the savings balance of TYM Nam Dinh has reached over 310 billion VND.
Along with lending and savings activities, TYM Nam Dinh province actively supports women in developing their economic activities and organizes training courses to enhance business knowledge and life skills for women. From 2024 to the present, TYM Nam Dinh province has coordinated with the Women's Union of districts and cities to organize 7 training courses to improve the capacity of 740 cluster leaders. These clusters have implemented campaigns to support women in downloading the TYM Mobile app for 14,032 customers; and collaborated with Women's Unions at all levels to organize visits to successful economic models, folk dance exchanges, specialized training courses, and capacity building programs for cluster leaders and outstanding female members.
One of the highlights of TYM Nam Dinh province is the implementation of many social welfare activities such as: building "Houses of Love," awarding scholarships to children of poor customers who excel in their studies, giving gifts to encourage women in difficult circumstances, giving gifts to express gratitude to families of war invalids, martyrs, and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, actively participating in the "Godmother" program launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union... Contributing to improving the quality of life of individuals and households with low incomes, especially poor and vulnerable women, from the beginning of 2025 to the present, TYM Hai Hau has provided medical examinations for 30 female members; the TYM Nam Dinh City branch has sponsored 8 million VND for two children, Tran Anh Khoa from Cua Nam ward and Tran Ngoc Ha from Loc Hoa ward; the Nam Truc branch has provided health check-ups for 130 female members with a total cost of 66 million VND; The Yen Yen branch organized medical examinations, health care awareness campaigns, stroke prevention, and fire safety training for 230 customers in four communes: Yen Phong, Phu Hung, Yen Phuc, and Cong Hoa, with a total expenditure of over 32 million VND...
Through its specific and practical activities to support women members in developing their economic activities, TYM Nam Dinh province has helped thousands of women, especially poor women, overcome difficulties, rise to prosperity, and improve their family's quality of life. This has affirmed the role of the Women's Union as a trusted "friend" and an effective financial channel.
