| TYM Nam Dinh province organized a visit to a typical economic model of women's union members in Xuan Truong district. |
In order to create conditions for all poor and low-income women to access capital to develop their family economy, TYM Nam Dinh always focuses on developing participating members, by May 2025, it had mobilized 27,610 customers to participate. To help women easily access loans, TYM has deployed to villages, hamlets, and residential groups; no application fees, quick and timely procedures, meeting customers' needs; loans do not require collateral; small capital, increasing gradually over the years; loans are repeated many times; gradually repaid weekly/monthly... Currently, TYM has many flexible capital products for customers to choose from with diverse payment methods of 4 weeks/time, 1 month/time; maximum loan amount of 50 million VND and can borrow 3 capital products in parallel with preferential interest rates.
In particular, from 2024 to present, due to the difficult domestic economic situation, many provinces and cities affected by natural disasters, TYM has adjusted lending interest rates 5 times to support customers to restore production and business, develop the economy and stabilize their lives. From July 2024, TYM has also adjusted capital products, processes, and lending subjects to comply with Circular 33/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank of Vietnam such as: establishing regional lending groups, in which the average income of borrowers in rural areas is 7 million VND/month/customer, in urban areas is 9 million VND/month/customer; Expanding the scope of individuals representing poor and near-poor households to borrow capital with a maximum of 100 million VND... Thereby, helping many women's union members and women in difficult circumstances have access to capital to invest in production development and stabilize family economy. In the first 5 months of 2025, TYM Nam Dinh province has disbursed over 268 billion VND to 7,150 borrowers. Through the assessment of loan use, most customers used the capital effectively, for the right purpose, with a high repayment rate, affirming the effectiveness and practicality of the capital that TYM brings to poor women.
In addition to capital for economic development, prioritizing poor women, TYM also has capital to support poor and near-poor people to borrow at preferential interest rates of 0.28%/4 weeks for poor households and 0.4%/4 weeks for near-poor households to develop family economy and escape poverty sustainably. Also in the first 5 months of 2025, the whole province had 120 poor and near-poor customers; 15 customers with disabilities and affected by HIV/AIDS receiving loans. Along with lending activities, savings activities, creating savings habits for customers are also promoted by TYM Nam Dinh. From the beginning of the year, the branch has developed a plan and assigned targets to each TYM officer to mobilize savings. Customers who deposit compulsory savings must ensure a rate of 1% to a minimum of 5% depending on the year of participation and also participate in voluntary savings of at least 80,000 VND/4 weeks each week. With small deposits, easy for customers to access, suitable for living conditions and income, TYM attracts many women to participate in savings. To date, the savings balance of TYM Nam Dinh has reached over 310 billion VND.
Along with lending and saving activities, accompanying and supporting women in economic development, TYM Nam Dinh province also actively organizes training courses to improve business knowledge and life skills for women. From 2024 to present, TYM Nam Dinh province has coordinated with the Women's Union of districts and cities to organize 7 training courses to improve capacity for 740 cluster leaders. The clusters have deployed propaganda to support women to download the TYM Mobile app for 14,032 customers; coordinated with the Women's Union at all levels to organize for cluster leaders and outstanding women members to visit good economic models, exchange folk dances, conduct specialized training, improve knowledge and skills in cluster management and operation, and train to improve capacity for cluster leaders...
One of the highlights of TYM Nam Dinh province is that it has implemented many social security activities such as: building "Warm Houses of Love", giving scholarships to poor customers' children with good academic performance, giving gifts to encourage women in difficult circumstances, giving gifts to families of war invalids, martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, actively participating in the "Godmother" program launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union... Contributing to improving the quality of life of individuals and low-income households, especially poor and disadvantaged women, from the beginning of 2025 to now, TYM Hai Hau has examined 30 women's members; TYM Nam Dinh City Branch sponsored 8 million VND for 2 children Tran Anh Khoa, Cua Nam Ward and Tran Ngoc Ha, Loc Hoa Ward; Nam Truc Branch examined the health of 130 women's members with an amount of 66 million VND; The Ý Yên branch organized medical examinations, health care propaganda, stroke prevention, and fire prevention for 230 customers in 4 communes of Yên Phong, Phú Hưng, Yên Phúc and Công Hòa with a total amount of over 32 million VND...
With its accompanying activities and support for women members to develop their economy in a specific and practical way, TYM in Nam Dinh province has helped thousands of women, especially poor women, overcome difficulties, become rich, and improve the quality of their family life. From there, it has affirmed the role of a reliable "friend" and an effective financial channel of the Women's Union.
