Isak returns to Newcastle training alone. |
The Swedish striker has been pushing for a move to Liverpool this summer after publicly stating his desire to leave St James' Park. Newcastle responded strongly, claiming no commitment had been made to allow Isak to leave.
According to British media, Isak suddenly appeared at Newcastle's training center amid the conflict. He trained separately, completely separated from the first team to maintain his fitness. A coach from the academy was assigned to work with Isak.
The team provided Isak with all the equipment he needed to train, but the situation was tense. Isak did light exercises such as jogging and passing the ball into an empty goal. In fact, his training sessions were described as boring and unmotivating.
However, Newcastle are ready to allow Isak to return when he is ready, claiming he remains part of the "family". In contrast, Isak's relationship with teammates, such as Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes, has shown signs of a rift as they have expressed their disapproval on social media.
The row stemmed from contract disagreements and Isak's desire to join Liverpool, with Newcastle rejecting a £110m offer.
However, Liverpool are expected to come back with a fresh £130m offer to continue pursuing the deal, with Newcastle insisting they will not let Isak leave until a suitable replacement is found.
