Coffee price forecast for tomorrow , February 4 , 2025
During the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday, coffee prices on exchanges continued to surge, causing domestic coffee prices to exceed 130,000 VND/kg on the very first day back to work. This increase reflects not only the domestic market situation but also the international market.
Recently, US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on several countries, including Colombia, the world's third-largest coffee exporter. This has raised concerns about disruptions to the supply of Arabica coffee to the US market, leading to a sharp increase in its price in recent times.
In the Central Highlands region, some areas are still harvesting the remaining crops, while most have finished. However, farmers remain cautious, not selling immediately for fear of selling at a loss in the context of potentially rising prices.
According to experts, domestic coffee prices and those on exchanges can only fall when supply from Vietnamese farmers and exports returns, along with strong selling by speculators on the exchanges. It is predicted that domestic coffee prices could fall below 1,000 VND/kg tomorrow, February 4th, 2025, if these factors occur.
