As a renowned tourist destination, Ha Long Bay continues to play a leading role in attracting visitors. Besides its magnificent natural landscape with thousands of limestone islands, caves, and beautiful beaches, Ha Long Bay is also constantly renewing its tourism products. Tours combining overnight stays on cruise ships, kayaking, exploring fishing villages, experiencing seafood cuisine, and enjoying coastal art performances are attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists. In particular, on June 29th, the coastal bay tour by three-walled sailboat will officially launch, promising to become a popular attraction for tourists this summer .
Previously, the series of events under the 2026 Summer Culture, Sports and Tourism Week, along with the Ha Long Carnival, created a strong ripple effect, contributing to stimulating tourism demand right from the beginning of the summer season. In addition, the international tourist segment continued to grow positively, bringing in high-spending visitors to the locality. On average, Ha Long Bay welcomes 10,000-12,000 visitors per day; on weekends, the number can reach 15,000-16,000 visitors per day.
Along with Ha Long Bay, tourists have many other diverse beach tourism options in Quang Ninh province, such as Quan Lan, Minh Chau, Ngoc Vung (Van Don), and Co To. According to statistics from the Ao Tien High-Class Port Management Board, the number of tourists flocking to the islands this summer increased 1.5-2 times compared to the same period in 2015. This positive sign stems from the systematic and synchronized investment in infrastructure and services, as well as the thorough preparation of businesses and local authorities.
According to Mr. Dao Van Vu, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Don Special Economic Zone, in recent years, Van Don has continuously innovated its tourism products, from high-end beach resorts to exploring fishing village culture, experiencing the life of fishermen, or water sports activities. This contributes to extending the length of stay and increasing the spending of tourists.
Along with traditional island routes, Bai Tu Long Bay is also being developed into a center for eco-tourism products, combining aquaculture experiences, high-end resorts, and water sports activities. Furthermore, the synchronized transportation infrastructure, including expressways, airports, and seaports, has significantly shortened travel time to Van Don. This is also a crucial factor in helping the locality effectively exploit its marine tourism potential, creating favorable conditions for many investors to develop resort, entertainment, and eco-tourism experiences.

In the summer of 2026, Co To continued to be one of the most popular tourist destinations. In the first six months of the year, Co To welcomed over 247,000 visitors, generating tourism revenue exceeding 836 billion VND. Co To's appeal stems from its famous beaches such as Hong Van, Van Chay, Cau My rocky beach, and its picturesque coastal roads. The island retains its pristine beauty with clear blue waters, fine white sand, and a rich natural ecosystem.
Besides swimming and relaxing on the beach, visitors to Co To can also experience activities such as paddleboarding, night squid fishing, snorkeling to admire coral reefs, or exploring the surrounding small islands. The development of accommodation, restaurants, and tourism services in recent years has also helped the locality improve the quality of service, meeting the increasingly high demands of tourists. In particular, the focus on environmental protection, reducing plastic waste, and building an image of a green destination is helping Co To become one of the typical sustainable island tourism models of Quang Ninh.
Besides the aforementioned tourist destinations, Quang Ninh also boasts many other popular coastal and island tourist spots, such as Cai Chien, Vinh Thuc, and Tra Co. In the first six months of 2026, the total number of tourists visiting Quang Ninh is estimated to reach over 12.4 million, an increase of nearly 3% compared to the same period in 2025. Total tourism revenue is expected to reach nearly 35,200 billion VND, an increase of 21% compared to the same period. These positive figures demonstrate the growing attractiveness of Quang Ninh tourism, especially its coastal and island tourism products during the summer.
The "buzz" of the summer tourist season is expected to help Quang Ninh welcome approximately 6 million visitors in the third quarter of 2026. With its rich marine and island resources and increasingly完善 tourism infrastructure, Quang Ninh is aiming to welcome 22.5 million visitors this year, while further consolidating its position as a leading marine and island destination in the Northern region.
