For over 10 years, Mr. Ta Minh Son, Director of Tu Son Supermarket in Chau Doc ward, has regularly collaborated with departments, agencies, and local authorities to organize hundreds of trips bringing Vietnamese goods, regional specialties, and OCOP products closer to consumers in border areas and remote regions. In 2025, Tu Son Supermarket will organize 19 market fairs, including 7 trips outside the province.

During this journey, the company brought more than 1,000 high-quality Vietnamese products from 200 OCOP (One Commune One Product) organizations and famous specialties from 30 provinces and cities, allowing people to access quality goods at reasonable prices with many attractive offers. “Each market session lasts for three days, allowing people in border and rural areas to experience a vibrant shopping atmosphere and enjoy musical and magic performances. Receiving positive feedback from the people gives us more motivation to continue our journey of promoting Vietnamese goods,” Mr. Son shared.
Carrying a basket overflowing with various kinds of Tay Ninh shrimp salt rice crackers, Da Lat mulberry jam, Thai Nguyen tea, etc., Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hai, a resident of Vinh Xuong commune, shared: "Hearing about the Vietnamese goods market coming to our hometown, the whole neighborhood eagerly gathered to go shopping. It's rare to see so many specialty products at reasonable prices, so everyone is taking advantage of the opportunity to buy."
Mr. Ta Minh Son also actively supports small and medium-sized enterprises in connecting with consumers through weekend markets and mobile delivery services bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas to expand their markets. Thanks to this support, many small production facilities in An Giang , Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, Ca Mau provinces, etc., have hundreds of OCOP-certified products and specialties that have been positively received by consumers, spreading the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" movement more widely, strongly, and effectively.
Also passionate about promoting Vietnamese goods, Ms. Phan Kim Loan - owner of the OCOP Kien Giang store in Rach Gia ward - shared: “Through promotional programs, I have reached a large number of customers and established many distribution channels in various provinces. Consumers are increasingly aware of An Giang products and are actively consuming dried fish, honey, fish sauce, Phu Quoc pepper, etc., contributing to taking OCOP products further.”
The OCOP store in Kien Giang displays and sells over 600 types of products, of which more than 90% are 3-5 star OCOP products from the province, and the rest are from across the country. “To meet consumer demand, the store offers a diverse range of products. For example, for dried shrimp, I source from 3-4 different suppliers, giving customers more choices. Besides selling at the store, I often participate in OCOP markets and forums inside and outside the province, and go to rural areas to promote local products,” Ms. Loan shared.
In Long Xuyen ward, the An Giang Vegetable and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company's (Antesco Mart) vegetable and food store is a familiar destination for tourists wanting to buy OCOP specialties from An Giang and other Mekong Delta provinces. With a diverse range of goods, stable prices, and a commitment to food safety, the store attracts a large number of consumers, especially for its products such as fermented fish paste, braised fish, canned braised carp, and many processed agricultural products that meet export standards.
"For OCOP products to develop sustainably, businesses need to improve quality, innovate designs, apply modern technology, standardize production processes associated with safety and traceability, thereby increasing competitiveness and meeting increasingly demanding market requirements," Mr. Ta Minh Son suggested.
The tranquil border markets and the well-equipped OCOP (One Commune One Product) stores in the heart of the city all affirm that the journey of promoting Vietnamese goods continues to be extended by the dedication, responsibility, and pride of domestic businesses. Each mobile cart carries products, the confidence of producers, and the expectations of consumers. As Vietnamese goods become more and more present in every meal, every kitchen, and every corner of the rural market, the value of Vietnamese goods is sustainably affirmed.
