Duc Phuc talks about indecent news

Immediately after becoming the champion of the Intervision Song Contest 2025, Duc Phuc received a lot of attention from domestic and international media. Among them, the performance with the song Phu Dong Thien Vuong The international press and media such as CNN, Reuters, BBC, The Straits Times, Lenta, Regnum reported and praised the victory of the Vietnamese representative. Many leading news sites such as Ria Novosti, Regnum, Lenta... also praised Duc Phuc.

However, some international news sites also reported that Duc Phuc is an artist belonging to the LGBT community, causing a lot of noise on social networks.

Duc Phuc said he does not care about the rumors spreading online.

Talking about this information, Duc Phuc shared: “Since winning until now, I haven't had much time to use social networks. I also received the above information from my team. Luckily, before I knew any information, the program's organizers texted me to apologize and encourage me not to worry about all that information. The organizers also didn't want that information to happen, hoping that I could focus on my recent victory and would have measures to handle that false information. Phuc feels very grateful for the affection that the program has for him."

The male singer continued: "I want to share that I have never cared about such rumors. Those are all news that have not been confirmed or verified at all. They just follow a very personal direction from what they see or have some reasons that make them post such information. I strongly disagree with that and have no obligation to care when they post information without any verification. Above all, I have received reassurance from the organizers so I have no worries at all."

The Intervision 2025 final took place on the evening of September 20 at Live Arena, Moscow with 22 contestants competing. Duc Phuc won with 422 points. As the winner, the male singer was awarded a crystal trophy by the Organizing Committee along with a prize worth 30 million RUB (about 358,000 USD ).

Duc Phuc confided that on this Intervision 2025 journey, the thing he was most concerned about was how to create a performance imbued with Vietnamese cultural and national identity (within the limits of the competition rules) to spread to international friends.

When he first accepted the invitation to participate in the competition, Duc Phuc was very hesitant. Because Duc Phuc always hoped that what he brought to the world would not just be a vocal show or a simple entertainment performance, but it must carry the spirit of a cultural slice, national pride. The male singer always longed for the stage to have both traditional materials, imbued with Vietnamese soul, but still have a modern breath mixed with entertainment elements, so that even in just 3 short minutes, the audience can still feel in the most natural, subtle and clear way about the people, culture, and identity of Vietnam.
