In recent years, Quang Ninh province has promoted the implementation of the program "Building advanced new rural areas, new rural models" associated with the development of community tourism and cultural tourism. Along with spacious infrastructure, indigenous cultural values are honored and widely spread, contributing to creating a unique identity for each locality. In many places, customs, festivals, folk songs, traditional crafts, and indigenous cuisine have become valuable resources for developing experiential tourism, promoting livelihoods, and raising community awareness in preserving cultural heritage.

On the evening of October 4, at Cao Ly Mountain, Hoanh Mo Commune organized the program "Cao Ly Moon Night" to open the Hoanh Mo Commune Autumn - Winter Tourism Week 2025. Held in the majestic mountains and forests, the event immersed viewers in the folk melodies of Then Co, Soong Co, Pa Dung... performed by local artisans and professional artists. The resounding sound of the Tinh lute not only revived the beauty of traditional culture but also created a unique and rare artistic space. In addition to enjoying folk music, visitors can also participate in campfires, folk games and enjoy traditional stir-fried pho... These activities contribute to building an experience rich in the identity of the highlands, connecting the local community. Mr. Vi Ngoc Nhat, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Hoanh Mo commune, said: "The Korean Moon Night" is not only a cultural and artistic event, but also an effort to concretize the goal of building the Hoanh Mo tourism brand, making tourism a driving force and a breakthrough in the local socio -economic development, including building new rural areas.

In Quang Tan commune, possessing many beautiful locations and landscapes such as Bach Van waterfall, Ham Rong waterfall, Tai Cong My waterfall... along with traditional festivals and rich ethnic minority culture, in recent years this locality has been promoting the development of community tourism products and rural experience tours, considering this a new direction in economic development associated with building new rural areas. On the occasion of Ba Nhat market, the San Co melodies of the Dao people, the Soong Co melodies of the San Chi people, the Soong Co melodies of the San Diu people are promoted by the local people, creating a unique mark for tourists when coming to Quang Tan. On the occasion of the National Day September 2, Quang Tan commune also organized the program "San Co Region Independence Festival" with many activities imbued with the local cultural identity such as: National costume performance contest, culinary contest, cockfighting, exploring the 5-storey Bach Van Waterfall, learning about customs, Soong Co singing, San Co singing, traditional embroidery of the Dao Thanh Phan people... Not only are these unique cultural products, these activities also contribute significantly to the preservation of intangible heritage, arousing national pride and promoting local economic development. Mr. Vu Quoc Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tan commune, said: With the advantages of landscape, nature and culture, the commune will focus on exploiting these potentials to develop experiential tourism associated with OCOP products, in order to create added value on the spot for the people.

Not only in Hoanh Mo or Quang Tan, the movement to build cultural life in many localities in the province has become an important pillar of the New Rural Development Program. Folk art clubs, Then singing - Tinh lute, folk song and dance clubs... have been established and maintained regularly in villages and hamlets. Since then, culture has not only been preserved in spiritual life, but also become a "soft resource", "endogenous resource" to develop tourism, promote local image, and create sustainable livelihoods.

In particular, some localities have been building villages and hamlets to become "Living Museums" to preserve and promote unique traditional cultural identities, associated with tourism development, promoting new rural construction such as: Dao Thanh Y village, Quang La commune; Tay village in Cau village, Luc Hon commune; San Chi village in Luc Ngu village, Binh Lieu commune; San Diu traditional village in Van Don special economic zone...

It can be affirmed that building a sustainable new rural area is not only a story of infrastructure and economy, but must start from awakening and promoting traditional cultural values. When each person becomes the subject of preserving identity, when culture becomes a tourism product and a common pride, then the rural areas of Quang Ninh will not only meet the new rural standards, but also truly be "rich, beautiful, civilized and happy".
