Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Mau The, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: In accordance with Plan No. 2209/KH-UBND dated April 12, 2021, of the Provincial People's Committee on planting 50 million trees in the province and Plan No. 85/KH-UBND dated June 17, 2021, of the District People's Committee on planting 4,467,000 trees in the district.

Over the past four years of implementing the tree planting program, localities and units in the district have planted 2,848,682 trees out of a total of 3,288,000 trees, averaging 86.63% of the assigned plan and target. This has fostered a habit and a sense of self-awareness in protecting and planting trees among the people, creating a movement to plant trees to beautify the landscape and environment in each agency, unit, and organization, aiming to green all vacant land with suitable tree species throughout the district. This serves as a driving force and an important foundation for the current and future administrative units of the district to continue striving to achieve the tree planting targets set for 2025.

The comrade called on agencies, units, localities, and all levels of people in the area to actively allocate land for the development of urban and rural green spaces; mobilize all social resources, legitimate capital sources from businesses, and solicit sponsorships from organizations and individuals to plant trees and reforest... The goal is to complete the plan to plant 4,467,000 trees in the district by 2025, including planting 1,179,000 new trees and reviewing and replanting existing trees based on approved plans from previous years according to the District People's Committee's plan.

Party committees, government agencies, departments, units, and mass organizations from the district to the grassroots level will continue to strengthen propaganda efforts among all cadres, civil servants, employees, and people in the district regarding the role, effects, and value of forests, the significance of tree planting and reforestation, forest protection, nature conservation, climate regulation, and environmental pollution reduction.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates and coordinating forces went out to plant 160 trees in the grounds of the District Children's House, including: 84 trumpet trees, 36 black star trees, 26 oil palm trees, and 14 jacaranda trees.
