Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Nguyen Mau The - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: Implementing Plan No. 2209/KH-UBND dated April 12, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee on planting 50 million trees in the province and Plan No. 85/KH-UBND dated June 17, 2021 of the District People's Committee on planting 4,467,000 trees in the district.

After 4 years of implementing the tree planting work, up to now, localities and units in the district have planted 2,848,682 trees out of a total of 3,288,000 trees, reaching an average of 86.63% of the assigned plan and target; thereby forming habits and self-awareness in protecting and planting trees from each citizen, forming a tree planting movement to beautify the landscape and environment in each agency, unit, and organization, aiming to cover all vacant land with suitable trees in the district. This is the driving force and important premise for current units and localities in the district as well as future administrative units to continue to make efforts and strive to complete the tree planting target set for 2025.

He called on agencies, units, localities and people of all walks of life in the area to actively arrange land funds to develop urban and rural green trees; mobilize all social resources, legal capital sources of enterprises and mobilize sponsorship from organizations and individuals to plant trees, afforest trees... Strive to complete the plan to plant 4,467,000 trees in the district by 2025, of which 1,179,000 new trees will be planted and review the replanting and compensation on the approved records of previous years according to the District People's Committee's Plan.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates and coordinating forces planted 160 trees in the District Children's House, including: 84 trumpet trees, 36 black star trees, 26 tung trees and 14 purple phoenix trees.

On the same day, units and localities in the district also launched tree planting.
