| The 92nd Economic and National Defense Brigade and the Party Committee and local government of A Roàng commune visited the newly completed village lighting system. |
The "Village Lighting Project" spans over 2km and includes the installation of more than 40 solar-powered streetlights along the Ho Chi Minh Trail through A Roàng 1 and Ka Lô villages to A Min – C9 village in A Roàng commune, with a total cost exceeding 80 million VND.
The head of A Roàng 1 village, A Roàng commune, emotionally shared: “The villagers are very happy to have a lighting system like today. Before, going out at night was very dangerous; children didn't dare go outside to play, and people were hesitant to go out. Now, with electricity, the village feels revitalized. On behalf of the people of A Roàng 1 village, I would like to thank the 92nd Economic and National Defense Brigade for their concern and support in providing light and bringing joy to our people in this border area.”
Not only adults, but also the children in the village are very happy to play under the electric lights. A Viet Thi Phuong, An 11-year-old from A Roàng 1 village, playing jump rope with friends under the newly installed lights, said with a smile: “Before, there were no lights at night, so we had to stay indoors and couldn’t go out to play. Now that we have lights, I’m so happy! My friends and I can play jump rope and shuttlecock after school. With the lights on, we’re not afraid anymore!”
The completed project, now in use, has practical significance, contributing to ensuring security and order, improving rural traffic safety, and enhancing the cultural and spiritual life of people in the highlands, especially at night. This is not only a joy for the people of A Roàng commune but also a testament to the strength of military-civilian solidarity in building a more prosperous, civilized, safe, and brighter village.
