The Nhon Trach 4 - Phu My - Nha Be 500kV transmission line project is of significant importance, contributing to relieving the power output from the Nhon Trach 4 power plant.
On October 16, 2024, in Dong Nai , Mr. Bui Van Kien, Deputy General Director of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), inspected and supervised the construction of the Nhon Trach 4 - Phu My - Nha Be 500kV transmission line project.
The Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant - Phu My - Nha Be 500kV transmission line project involves the construction of new 2-circuit and 4-circuit 500kV transmission lines (the 4-circuit section will be shared with the Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant - Thu Duc 220kV transmission line, approximately 3.1km long); from the 500kV distribution yard of the Nhon Trach 4 power plant to the connection point on the existing Phu My - Nha Be 500kV transmission line, approximately 4.2km long.

The power line route passes through Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province, and was approved by the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee in Document No. 9418/UBND-CNN dated August 14, 2019. To date, the locality has handed over the entire land for all 15/15 foundation locations to the investor. Regarding construction progress, the project has completed foundation excavation for all 15/15 locations, completed foundation casting for all 15 locations; erected poles at 8/15 locations, is currently erecting poles at 7/15 locations, completed wire pulling for 2 spans, and is currently pulling wire for 1 span.

This is a significant project aimed at relieving the power output from the Nhon Trach 4 power plant, contributing to ensuring energy security.
According to the plan, the GT2 unit of the Nhon Trach 4 power plant will have its first ignition on December 22, 2024, and its first grid connection on December 30, 2024. Therefore, the project needs to ensure that it is completed ahead of the power generation schedule of the Nhon Trach 4 power plant.
During the site inspection, Mr. Bui Van Kien assessed that the above results were achieved thanks to the strong support of the local government and people of Nhon Trach district, which assisted in the project's implementation.

With the above progress in land handover, EVNNPT leaders requested the Southern Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) to urge the contractor to accelerate the construction and erection of the remaining towers, organize wire pulling, and complete the project before November 15, 2024, to meet the schedule for relieving the capacity of Nhon Trach 4 power plant.
