Fu Bao is a famous panda beloved by the people of South Korea, nicknamed "Princess Fu Bao." On March 3rd, a large crowd of Korean and Japanese fans lined up from early morning at Everland Park (South Korea) to say goodbye before Fu Bao's return to China next month.
According to Yonhap News Agency, although Everland opened at 10 a.m., a large crowd had already lined up in the cold weather since early morning just to see the adorable panda on its last day of operation in South Korea.
Although Everland Park has limited each visitor's viewing time for Fu Bao to only about 5 minutes, it still generates great excitement among tourists. Some even started queuing as early as 3:30 AM. Many, due to lack of time to wait, were forced to leave reluctantly.
Many people lined up very early.
Each person is limited to 5 minutes to visit the bear.
24-year-old tourist Jo Ah-hyeon (South Korea) revealed that she had queued for over four hours to see Fu Bao: "This is my last chance to see Fu Bao in South Korea. I don't know when I'll get to see her again, so I had to come and see her."
Kim Min-ji, a 31-year-old tourist, said that Fu Bao helped him overcome difficulties when he was ill three years ago. He himself was sad to say goodbye to Fu Bao: "I hope Fu Bao will always be happy and safe."
In March 2016, Chinese President Xi Jinping gifted South Korea two pandas, Aibao and Lebao. These two pandas symbolize the friendship between the two countries. Fubao is the offspring of these two pandas and was born on July 20, 2020. As a panda born in South Korea, Fubao has spent 1154 days with visitors since January 4, 2021. After his last appearance at Everland Park today, Fubao will be quarantined and return to Sichuan Province (China) next month.
