Asthma is a common chronic respiratory disease of all ages and affects 1-18% of the population depending on the country. This disease has affected 358 million people globally and in Vietnam, the average prevalence of asthma is about 3,9% of the population (children aged 13-14 years account for 14,8%) or about 4 million people suffer and take the lives of 3.000-4.000 people every year. Faced with the fact that patients' awareness of the disease, proper care and treatment is still limited, the consulting role of pharmacists at the pharmacy needs more attention and investment, helping pharmacists fully promote their role, supporting patients to improve the quality of health care in treatment.
Accordingly, on the morning of May 17.5.2023, 1.000, FPT Long Chau Pharmacy and GSK Vietnam jointly implemented a series of intensive training activities under the program "Shine: Shine for respiratory patients", with the participation of representatives of the Vietnam Respiratory Association and the senior advisory board of the two units, aiming to help comprehensively train on pathology and professional counseling skills for asthma - COPD groups. The program with the companionship of leading medical experts has had a great effect on capacity building for nearly XNUMX participating pharmacists in Long Chau through lectures and specialized counseling routes. After completing the training session, the pharmacists of the pharmacy chain will receive a certificate of course completion.
