I met my boyfriend in the A80 mission unit.

1,139 soldiers from the south who were deployed to carry out mission A80 arrived at Hanoi station today, June 5th.

At noon on June 6th, the first train carrying 1,139 soldiers from the south to participate in the parade and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day on September 2nd, abbreviated as mission A80, arrived at Hanoi station.

Among the hundreds of soldiers present at Hanoi train station, Do Thanh Uyen, a female student from Hanoi Open University, found her boyfriend, soldier Nguyen Tuan Luc (from Dak Lak province). Sharing with Thanh Nien newspaper , the student said she was introduced to soldier Luc by a relative during the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. Although they hadn't met in person, feelings had begun to develop between them during their conversations.

"Knowing he was going to Hanoi for A80 duty, I came to the train station to pick him up today, to surprise him. This is the first time we've met," Uyen shared.

Watching the car carrying Luc gradually disappear from sight, Uyen felt regretful that they hadn't had much time to talk. Uyen only managed to encourage Luc and hold his hand. She hoped to see Luc again during her stay in Hanoi and introduce him to the capital's specialties.

They only had time to exchange a heartfelt handshake.

"This is my second time in Hanoi. I am deeply moved by the warm welcome I have received from the people and the commanders. We are very excited to carry out our upcoming mission," shared Lieutenant Nguyen Le Hoai Phuong, a professional military officer.

After arriving at Hanoi station, the forces moved to their designated assembly points to prepare for training and mission execution.

The soldiers disembarked from the ship to move to the assembly point.
