Be bold and confident in communicating in English.
While strolling with their mother at Yen Phi Park (Nha Trang City), Nhu and Bao accidentally learned about the "Khanh Hoa People Speak English" program and participated in the activities. Afterward, they learned more about the program and joined the Vinh Hai Youth Community English Club in June 2023. Every Thursday evening, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM, they participate in activities with club members. There, they receive guidance from volunteers on various English topics; participate in memory games; and interact and chat with foreigners… This helps them gain more knowledge and improve their English communication skills. In addition, every afternoon, the two children often go to the beach with their mother to chat with foreign tourists, further improving their communication skills. As Bao shared: “Previously, I mainly studied English at school and in online groups, but I rarely communicated. After participating in the club, I became more confident in singing and interacting in English in front of a crowd when I took part in the “Sing to Shine” singing competition. Thanks to that, I became more confident in communicating and more willing to participate in other activities.”

Both sisters, Nhu and Bao, actively participated in the program's competitions such as: "Rung Chuong Vang" (Golden Bell Ringing), "Sing to Shine," "Master English - Master Your Life ," etc., and won high awards. In 2024 and 2025, they both competed and won the special prize of the "Master English - Master Your Life" competition: trips to Quang Ninh province and Malaysia. Khanh Nhu shared: "By participating in the club, each week I learned a different topic about science , food, animals, time, etc., with difficulty levels ranging from easy to difficult. This helped me review the words I had learned and improve my vocabulary. To win the high prize, the two of us worked hard, supported each other in practicing vocabulary, communicating, and improving our knowledge. We got to travel abroad for the first time after winning the program's prize."

Actively promote the image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
After winning a top prize in the program, sisters Nhu and Bao continued to volunteer, participating in activities to promote and introduce the culture and traditions of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general to foreign tourists. Later, both became ambassadors for the "Khanh Hoa People Speak English" program. Recently, during the 2025 Sea Culture and Tourism Festival, they participated in introducing and guiding foreign tourists in English at 2-4 Square, various booths, martial arts festivals, and bird's nest festivals, among other events.

“I am very happy to participate as an ambassador for the program to guide foreign tourists on the unique features of the festival, the places to visit, and help them better understand the local culture. I hope that through my work, I will leave a good impression on tourists and when they return home, they will introduce the good things about Vietnam to their friends and relatives. Besides that, I have made many new friends and improved my English communication skills,” Khanh Nhu confided. Nhu Bao shared: “I really like the 'Khanh Hoa People Speak English' program. Thanks to the program, I am more confident in speaking English and have learned many interesting things about Khanh Hoa while being an ambassador. I hope the program will continue so that I and my friends have more opportunities to participate and learn more English.”

Throughout their participation and role as ambassadors for the program, the two children received a great deal of support and companionship from their family. Their mother, Ms. Tran Khanh Ly, said: “Through participating in the activities, my two children have improved a lot, especially in English communication. Therefore, their grandparents and parents always support and encourage them to participate in clubs, competitions, and become ambassadors for the program. Participating in the program, they not only learned and played but also won high awards. From shy children, they are now confident in using English to introduce and promote the culture, beautiful scenery, and traditions of Khanh Hoa to foreign tourists, so I am very happy.”
