In order to help orphans overcome difficulties and improve their lives, in November 2021, the Provincial Women's Union launched the "Godmother" model for the period 2021-2025. The unions at all levels have had many creative ways to mobilize the cooperation and contribution of the whole society and community in supporting, nurturing and sponsoring orphans in especially difficult circumstances in the province.

According to the survey, as of May 2025, the whole province has 2,340 orphans in difficult circumstances, of which 1,221 orphans in difficult circumstances are sponsored, with support levels ranging from 300,000 VND - 1 million VND/child/month, support period from 1-5 years, until the children turn 18 years old or their family conditions improve. The total funding to support the children is nearly 17.5 billion VND.

Currently, children in general and orphans in particular are facing many difficulties and challenges, not only in terms of conditions and circumstances, but also in terms of risks such as violence, abuse, and accidents. The number of juveniles violating the law is on the rise; the issue of psychological support and mental health for children has not received due attention; the number of drowning accidents among children, especially during the summer, is increasing...
