Meeting the Heroes Who Defeated the Americans

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on April 24, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Binh district organized a meeting to pay tribute to the heroes who fought against the Americans in the district and awarded scholarships to poor students who excelled in their studies.

In Phu Binh district, there are currently 17 veterans who have been awarded the title of "Hero of the Anti-American Struggle" by the State. At the conference, district leaders expressed their deep gratitude for the immense contributions of these comrades to the cause of national liberation. District leaders also emphasized the important role of veterans in educating about revolutionary traditions, promoting solidarity, and building cultural life in residential areas. On this occasion, the district presented meaningful gifts to express gratitude for the contributions of those awarded the title of "Hero of the Anti-American Struggle".

Also at the meeting, the leaders of Phu Binh district awarded scholarships from General Pham Thanh Ngan, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former member of the Politburo , and former Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, to 40 underprivileged students who have overcome difficulties (each scholarship worth 1.2 million VND).
