Prices of frog meat have dropped.

(DTO) Currently, the price of frog meat in Thanh My commune, Dong Thap province has decreased by 3,000 - 4,000 VND/kg compared to last month.

Frog farmers are worried because frog prices are fluctuating unusually.

Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, a frog farmer in Thanh My commune, said: "Currently, frogs weighing 3-4 frogs/kg are sold to traders for about 34,000-35,000 VND/kg, while those weighing 4-7 frogs/kg are priced at 30,000-32,000 VND/kg."

The price of frog meat fluctuates because from the end of January to the end of April, the supply of frogs increases while consumption slows down. However, what worries farmers is the hot weather causing a decrease in frog production.”
