To ensure maximum safety for students, staff, teachers, and school employees, the Department of Education and Training requires all educational institutions in the 58 communes and wards in the eastern part of Gia Lai province to suspend classes from the afternoon of November 5th until the end of November 7th, or until further notice.

For the 77 communes and wards in the west, consideration will also be given to allowing students to stay home from school if the rain and storm situation becomes complicated.

During school breaks, school principals must closely monitor weather information and instruct teachers, students, and parents to avoid traveling to dangerous areas and proactively take measures to ensure their own safety and that of their families.

In particular, schools must prepare facilities for local authorities to use as evacuation and shelter locations when needed during storms.

After the storm subsides and the floods pass, schools need to urgently repair the damage, clean up, and sanitize the school/classrooms immediately to ensure safety and avoid affecting the 2025-2026 school year plan.
