
The Quy Nhon – Pleiku Expressway has a total length of approximately 125km, a scale of 4 lanes, a design speed of 100km/hour, and a total investment of over 43,700 billion VND, divided into 3 component projects. Of these, component project 3 is approximately 35km long, passing through 6 communes and wards, with a total investment of over 9,100 billion VND.
When completed, the expressway will shorten travel time from Quy Nhon to Pleiku to approximately 1.5 – 2 hours, reduce transportation costs by 40% – 50%, and address traffic safety issues on the An Khe and Mang Yang passes.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Xuan Diep, Director of the Gia Lai Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board – the project's investor – pledged to seriously manage the project, closely monitor the site, and promptly coordinate to resolve difficulties and obstacles; he also requested that contractors adhere to the construction schedule, ensuring quality, technical standards, and labor safety.

Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, Pham Anh Tuan, requested that the six communes and wards through which the project passes closely coordinate with the investor and relevant units to implement compensation, support, and resettlement work in accordance with regulations. He also emphasized the need to focus on stabilizing the lives and livelihoods of affected people, ensuring that "the new homes are equal to or better than the old ones."
Provincial leaders also called on people in the project area to continue supporting and creating high consensus to expedite the handover of land, ensuring the project is implemented on schedule and quickly put into operation to serve the socio -economic development of the Central Highlands region.
