Rice price today, May 15: Fresh rice turns to increase

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 8,250 - 8,350 VND/kg; CL 555 raw rice fluctuates at 8,600 - 8,900 VND/kg; OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 8,000 - 8,100 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice fluctuates at 10,200 - 10,400 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 9,600 - 9,750 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of by-products fluctuates from 7,150 - 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, OM 5451 broken rice fluctuates at 7,350 - 7,450 VND/kg; bran price fluctuates at 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the variety 50404, OM 380 has limited supply, warehouse prices have increased with good rice, prices are stable. In An Giang, the quantity is sporadic, warehouses ask to buy better with white raw rice. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is sporadic, all types of rice prices are stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the prices of all types of rice fluctuate little.

Sa Dec market channel (Dong Thap), in terms of output, the market warehouses buy good rice, stable prices. In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the volume is small, buying and selling transactions are more active, prices are stable.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND13,000 - 15,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND16,000/kg; Soc rice often fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 20,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In many localities today, the supply of Summer-Autumn rice is slow, prices fluctuate slightly. In Can Tho, Summer-Autumn rice is stable, traders buy slowly, prices are stable. In An Giang, the supply of Summer-Autumn rice is slow, traders buy slowly, prices fluctuate.

In Tien Giang, Summer-Autumn rice transactions are slow, prices fluctuate little. In Kien Giang, new Summer-Autumn rice transactions are slow, prices fluctuate little. In Long An, Summer-Autumn rice prices are slow, new buying and selling transactions are still slow.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged from yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 397 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 368 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 321 USD/ton.
