Originally from Dong Nai province, Ms. Le Thi Kim Loan had the opportunity to settle and start a business in Gia Nghia. Currently, Ms. Loan and her family live in residential area 2, Nghia Thanh ward, and work as fruit vendors. Gia Nghia has become her new home, and she has been there for 20 years.

Choosing Gia Nghia as the place to build a new life, Ms. Loan shared her emotional story: "I came to Gia Nghia in 2004. At that time, I was only 22 years old. I got married and started my career here. Now I am 44 years old, but I still remember it as if it were the first day I arrived in Gia Nghia."

Ms. Le Thi Kim Loan and her family, residing in residential area 2, Nghia Thanh ward, have been living in Gia Nghia for 20 years.

Ms. Loan shared: “The fresh, cool climate is what I find makes this an ideal place to settle down long-term. In particular, I love the friendly and hospitable people here. These things impressed me from the first day I arrived in Gia Nghia and nurtured my affection for this land. The peaceful days, the beginning of my life and career, began in this promising new land.”

Like Ms. Loan, many people in Gia Nghia have lived here for decades and are deeply attached to this land. Ms. Vo Thi Minh, a pork seller in residential area 3, Nghia Thanh ward, has lived in Gia Nghia since 1995.

"It's been exactly 30 years since I've lived here. Gia Nghia is not only where I do business, but also my second home. Although life has had its ups and downs, I still love this land, including its difficulties and its daily development," Ms. Minh shared.

Ms. Minh has always had a deep and heartfelt love for the land of Gia Nghia.

Stories like those of Ms. Loan and Ms. Minh show that the people of Gia Nghia have a deep emotional attachment to this land. Whether newcomers or long-time residents, they all share a common love and belief in the sustainable development of Gia Nghia.

These stories are not only about the everyday lives of the people and their attachment to Gia Nghia, but also reflect the thoughts and feelings of those who fought in the war, such as veteran Pham Ngoc Dinh.

He was a soldier who belonged to the C90 Special Forces Company, a force that directly participated in combat in Gia Nghia during the 1960s.

Veteran Pham Ngoc Dinh shared his feelings at the meeting commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Gia Nghia.

"Gia Nghia is where I and my comrades fought, shedding so much sweat and blood. We lived through the harsh conditions of war, but now, seeing the changes and development of Gia Nghia, I feel proud. Whether I like it or not, I have decided to live and die here. Gia Nghia is our homeland," Mr. Dinh shared emotionally at the meeting commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Gia Nghia (March 23, 1975 - March 23, 2025).

Gia Nghia City has become home to approximately 73,440 people who live, work, and conduct business there. Each citizen has contributed their efforts and intellect to building this young city into an increasingly developed place.

After more than 20 years since the re-establishment of the province, Gia Nghia has not only witnessed changes in its urban landscape but also serves as proof of the strong development of Dak Nong.

Gia Nghia City has enormous potential for development.

Speaking at the meeting commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Gia Nghia on March 21, 2025, Comrade Ngo Thanh Danh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong province, stated that Gia Nghia has made a significant contribution to the great achievements the province has attained after 50 years of liberation and 21 years of re-establishment.

From a small town, Gia Nghia has become a center of the Southern Central Highlands region. With its connections to areas and provinces such as Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, and Ninh Thuan, Gia Nghia not only attracts investors but also stands out as a bright spot in the socio -economic development of the Southern Central Highlands.

With strong investment attraction policies, Gia Nghia's future will be that of an industrial city, a hub for the exploitation and processing of bauxite, alumina, and aluminum, while also developing specialized services and supporting industries. This presents a great opportunity for Gia Nghia to become a key urban center of the Southern Central Highlands sub-region.

National Highway 14 connects Gia Nghia City with the vibrant economic zone of Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the Southeast and Central Highlands regions.

Gia Nghia needs to continue focusing on key projects, including infrastructure and industrial projects, such as the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway and alumina and aluminum processing plants. Accelerating the construction of these projects will not only help Gia Nghia develop economically but also create more job opportunities and improve the lives of its people.
