The program includes activities such as: art exhibitions, screenings of documentary films about President Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic career, and a seminar on Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic thought and moral example.
In her opening remarks, Consul General Trinh Thi Mai Phuong emphasized that the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh are a beautiful symbol of the will and aspiration for national independence, peace, compassion, international solidarity, and lifelong dedication to the happiness of the people. The program commemorating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth contributes to highlighting the contemporary value of Ho Chi Minh's thought on peace, dialogue, tolerance, friendship, and cooperation among nations. In a world continuing to face many changes, these values remain relevant, serving as an important foundation for enhancing understanding, connecting people, and promoting cooperation for peace and sustainable development.
Representatives of the Hiroshima-Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association expressed their profound respect for President Ho Chi Minh , affirming that he was not only the leader who guided the Vietnamese people to independence and national liberation, but also a symbol of peace, friendship, and unwavering determination in the nation-building process.
To commemorate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the Canada-Vietnam Council for Culture and Education, in collaboration with the Canada-Vietnam Association, is organizing an international seminar in a hybrid format (in-person and online).
Scholars attending the conference argued that Ho Chi Minh's ideology remains relevant and serves as an important frame of reference in today's complex international environment. The message of peace, independence, friendship, mutual respect, and cooperative development left by President Ho Chi Minh still holds profound significance. These values are not only linked to Vietnam's history of struggle for independence but also have a widespread impact on discussions concerning international relations, cultural diplomacy, and people-to-people exchanges.
