SJC gold bar price hits new peak, gap with gold ring widens

On the morning of August 25, the price of SJC gold bars continued to climb, showing no signs of stopping. Large enterprises such as PNJ, SJC, DOJI simultaneously listed the price at 125.9 million VND/tael for buying and 126.9 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 300,000 VND/tael compared to the end of last week. This is the highest price ever officially listed for SJC gold bars.

However, in the market, some small shops in Ho Chi Minh City also pushed the price of SJC gold bars to 127.5 million VND/tael for buying and 128.3 million VND/tael for selling, also an increase of 300,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday. Notably, the difference between buying and selling prices at these shops is only about 800,000 VND/tael.

At the same time, 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold also increased by 300,000 VND/tael, trading around 118.8 million VND/tael for buying and 121.3 million VND/tael for selling.

The price gap between SJC gold bars and gold rings has now widened to 5.5 million VND/tael.

Currently converted according to the exchange rate at Vietcombank , world gold is equivalent to about 107.3 million VND/tael, nearly 14 million lower than gold rings and nearly 19.6 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars. This is a difference approaching the record of about 20 million VND/tael in the previous period.
