The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that due to the influence of storm Kajiki (storm No. 5), on August 25, the Northern region will have heavy rain, locally very heavy rain.

Forecast for the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue, focusing on the three provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri (formerly Quang Binh ), are the areas directly affected by storm Kajiki. These areas have heavy to very heavy rain, high risk of flash floods and landslides.

The Central Highlands and the South will also have showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening in the coming days.

In a further forecast, the hydrometeorological agency said that from now until the end of August, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms for many days.

According to the forecast, from September 1 to 5, the Northern and Central regions will have intermittent sunshine, with the possibility of thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening. The Central Highlands and the Southern regions will have sunny days, with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening.
