On April 24th, according to a survey by a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, the price of economy class air tickets (including taxes and fees) on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route during the peak holiday period of Hung Vuong Ancestor Commemoration Day and April 30th/May 1st, ranged from 3.8 to 4.5 million VND per ticket, depending on the airline. Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways listed the highest prices, around 4.2 - 4.5 million VND per ticket. Vietjet Air had prices ranging from 3.5 - 4.2 million VND per ticket, while Vietravel Airlines ranged from approximately 3.6 - 4.1 million VND per ticket.

On tourist routes, airfares also remain high. The Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang route on April 29th costs between 2.9 and 3.5 million VND per ticket with Vietnam Airlines; while Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways range from 2.1 to 2.9 million VND per ticket. The Hanoi - Da Nang route costs between 2.9 and 4 million VND per ticket with Vietnam Airlines, and other airlines commonly charge between 2.4 and 3.2 million VND per ticket.

Some long-haul routes have significantly higher prices, such as the Hanoi - Phu Quoc route with Vietnam Airlines, which costs up to 5-5.5 million VND per ticket, while Vietjet Air's is 3.5-5 million VND per ticket. The Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc route ranges from 2-3.2 million VND per ticket; and the Hanoi - Cam Ranh route is approximately 3.8-4.6 million VND per ticket.

Conversely, ticket prices increased sharply towards the end of the holiday period. On May 3rd, Vietjet Air's Cam Ranh - Hanoi route reached 4.2 - 4.6 million VND/ticket, but many flights were already sold out in economy class. From Cam Ranh to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietjet Air's ticket price was around 2.2 - 2.6 million VND/ticket, while Vietnam Airlines' price ranged from 2.8 - 3.4 million VND/ticket.

Similarly, the Phu Quoc - Hanoi route on May 3rd saw a shortage of economy class tickets. Meanwhile, the return flight to Ho Chi Minh City was priced from 2.3 to 3.2 million VND per ticket with Vietnam Airlines, while other airlines commonly charged between 2.1 and 2.6 million VND per ticket.

Along with rising ticket prices, booking rates on tourist routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City also increased rapidly during the peak season. In the early days of the holiday, many flights to tourist destinations had occupancy rates of 80% - 100%, such as Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City - Tuy Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao, Ho Chi Minh City - Pleiku, Hanoi - Tuy Hoa, Hanoi - Nha Trang, Hanoi - Da Nang, and Hanoi - Dong Hoi.

On the return leg, demand surged towards the end of the holiday, particularly on May 2nd and 3rd, as passengers returned to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Many routes recorded occupancy rates exceeding 80%.
