Gasoline prices decreased by 205-350 VND/liter on the afternoon of January 8th.

(GLO) - On the afternoon of January 8th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance conducted their regular fuel price adjustment. Accordingly, the price of all types of gasoline decreased by 205-350 VND/liter.

Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 205 VND/liter compared to the current base price, to 18,233 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 357 VND/liter, to 18,560 VND/liter.

Prices of various types of oil also decreased. Specifically, 0.05S diesel decreased by 194 VND/liter compared to the current base price, to 17,061 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 135 VND/liter, to 17,559 VND/liter. Conversely, 180CST 3.5S fuel oil increased by 58 VND/kg, to 13,403 VND/kg.

The global oil market this time is influenced by key factors such as: OPEC+ agreeing to maintain stable oil production in Q1/2026; the US arresting the Venezuelan president, leading to the possibility of an early lifting of the US embargo on Venezuelan oil; and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine showing signs of escalation in the early days of the year…

The factors mentioned above have caused world oil prices to fluctuate, rising and falling depending on the specific product, in recent days.
