Vietnam, with its rich cultural heritage and the strong creativity of its younger generation, is perfectly capable of achieving this. We don't lack talent or ambition; we just need a sufficiently strong cultural and artistic ecosystem to elevate them.
Transforming individual talent into a national brand.
To transform individual success into collective strength, we need a national cultural branding strategy. Each artist and each artistic product can become a "mini-brand," linked to the "big brand"—the Vietnamese brand. When a singer wins an international award, it should be viewed not only from a musical perspective, but also as a strategy to promote the image of the country. Just as when an athlete wins an Olympic medal, people remember the nation that produced them. In the arts, success also carries similar symbolic significance, and it becomes even more meaningful in an era where "soft power" is a decisive factor in determining a nation's standing.

From this, the question arises: Does Vietnam have sufficient mechanisms and policies to capitalize on individual successes like that of Duc Phuc? The reality shows that many of our talented artists have ventured into the international arena, but after a brief period of fame, they return to their familiar routines, lacking the support to reach even greater heights. With a synchronized strategy, and with the involvement of the State, businesses, and the community, these individual successes can become a powerful, continuous flow, creating a brilliant Vietnamese cultural brand on the world map.
In the era of globalization, an individual artist, no matter how talented, will find it difficult to conquer the world without a supporting ecosystem, from training, production, and distribution to media and management. It is the cultural industry that serves as a "launchpad," enabling individual talent to become a collective symbol, allowing a work of art to transcend language and cultural boundaries and reach the hearts of global audiences.
Vietnam has clearly identified the cultural industry as one of the pillars of national development, encompassing 12 sectors. Among these, music and performing arts have great potential, especially when combined with the power of digital technology and online platforms. However, to realize this potential, long-standing obstacles need to be addressed: a lack of systematic investment mechanisms, the absence of a system for training artists to international standards, a fragmented performance market, and unprofessional international promotion efforts.

A strong cultural industry will help Vietnamese art escape its isolated state and become a vibrant, enduring force. Then, victories like Duc Phuc's will no longer be rare events, but milestones in the journey of integration. Most importantly, culture and art will truly become a creative economic sector, contributing to the national GDP and affirming Vietnam's position as a new creative hub in the region.
To realize the aspiration of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045, economics, politics, and science and technology are indispensable pillars, but culture and art are the soul, the intrinsic strength, and the pride that unites millions of Vietnamese hearts at home and abroad. When Vietnamese art reaches the world, it is also the moment when Vietnam affirms its position through a gentle yet sustainable path: the path of culture.
The time will come when the world will remember Vietnam not only as a dynamic economy and an attractive tourist destination, but also as a creative powerhouse, where art becomes a bridge connecting people, spreading humanistic values, peace, and love. That dream is being kindled, and each of us – from artists, managers, businesses to the general public – has a role to play in making that dream a reality.
