At the meeting, council members discussed and gave opinions on the draft report on the implementation and results of the 2nd Cao Bang Provincial Press Awards; the plan to award the 2nd Provincial Press Awards and the plan to launch the 3rd Provincial Press Awards.

In particular, focusing on specific contents: The issue of attracting the participation of press agencies inside and outside the province, especially the City and District Culture and Communication Center; unifying the number of award-winning works; solutions to improve the quality of works participating in the 3rd Cao Bang Provincial Press Award; preparations for the program to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and award the 2nd Provincial Press Award...

The 2nd Provincial Press Award, the Provincial Journalists Association - the standing body of the award received 86 press works participating in the award in the following categories: print, electronic, radio, television and photojournalism. After the preliminary round, 74 works entered the final round. The Final Round Council judged and proposed the Provincial Press Award Council to unanimously submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to issue a decision to recognize the winning works for 42 works. Including 2 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 14 C prizes, 18 consolation prizes for 5 types of journalism.

Comrade Trinh Truong Huy, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Press Awards Council, proposed: Cao Bang Provincial Journalists Association to receive comments and contributions from members of the council to complete the draft plan on organizing meetings to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and award the 2nd Provincial Press Awards; draft plan to launch the 3rd Provincial Press Awards.

It is recommended that press agencies strengthen the promotion of the award to attract the attention of a large number of journalists and collaborators inside and outside the province. Organize training and professional training for reporters, officials and media officers of districts and cities, contributing to improving the quality and quantity of works participating in the 3rd Provincial Press Award.
