The song "Proud to Be Vietnamese" won the audience favorite award from the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the country on April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025.

Composer Le Ba Thuong has never considered himself a professional musician; his connection with music came about quite by chance. After attending a music education course organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association in 2023, it was like a gentle turning point in his life – as Le Ba Thuong shared, he felt like a stranger wandering into a garden of music, and then became captivated without realizing it. In the past three years, he has composed nearly 60 songs.

Composer Le Ba Thuong is active in diverse fields; he currently holds a PhD in Economics, is a lawyer, an accountant, and a visiting lecturer at universities in Ho Chi Minh City.

Through the song "Happy Birthday to Uncle Ho," composer Le Ba Thuong hopes to create a meaningful musical work that not only expresses love, respect, and gratitude towards President Ho Chi Minh but also awakens national pride and strengthens faith in the future of the country.
