According to journalist Bui Thanh Liem, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of the 30th Mai Vang Awards, there are many awards in the country, but few have a 30-year history. This is a valuable journey for the winning artists, as they become an integral part of the people's spiritual lives.
At the ceremony, the Mai Vàng Award received a Vietnamese record certificate: "The Mai Vàng Award, the longest-running annual cultural and artistic award in Vietnam, voted on by the public and readers."
Artist Le Sa Long donated a painting featuring 30 outstanding artists and writers who won the Mai Vang Award to be auctioned off to support the "Mai Vang Tri An" (Mai Vang Appreciation) program of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

The Mai Vàng Awards organizing committee presented awards in several categories on the morning of January 6th, including: Most Popular Music Video : "Giá như" by Soobin, directed by Lâm Đạo Đạo; Most Popular Play: "Lạc lối ở Bangkok" by the Youth Theatre, directed by Ngọc Hồng; Most Popular Feature Film: "Đào, phở và piano" by Meritorious Artist Phi Tiến Sơn; Most Popular Television Series: "7 năm chưa cưới sẽ chia tay" by director Nguyễn Hoàng Anh.
Sharing her feelings upon receiving the award, People's Artist Tra Giang emotionally said: "At nearly 90 years old, I didn't think I would still receive this important award, because the award not only recognizes the achievements of artistic work but also acknowledges the community responsibility of the artist towards the audience and society."
The Lifetime Artist Award for the Community was presented to People's Artist Tra Giang. This award honors artists who have made long-term contributions to the community and are loved and respected by both the artistic community and the public.
Writer and director Xuan Phuong believes that "creativity doesn't depend on age, but on one's heart and youth. I hope that you writers will always keep that youthful heart within you."
In the Literature category, the Art Council of the 30th Mai Vàng Awards selected the work "Khắc đi… khắc đến" (Engraving… Engraved) from the memoir of writer and director Xuân Phượng to receive the award. Congratulating director Xuân Phượng, writer Trịnh Bích Ngân - President of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association - said that despite being over 96 years old, writer and director Xuân Phượng has an incredibly youthful heart and soul. She also added, "The work ' Khắc đi… khắc đến' has had an extraordinary impact, with over 1,000 copies sold in just one month. Thank you, writer Xuân Phượng, for your strong influence on young writers."
In the Photography category, the work "Fire Prevention and Rescue Drill at Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro Station" by author Kieu Anh Dung won the award.
In the Painting category, the oil painting " Highway" by Nguyen Trong Hoan won the award.
160 songs for "The Nation Filled with Joy"
The organizing committee of the "Country Filled with Joy" songwriting contest announced: "This contest aims to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. To date, the organizing committee has received 160 songs from 120 composers and groups of composers nationwide. We have selected 20 works for the final round, which will take place in February 2025. Some outstanding works will be staged for the 30th Mai Vàng Awards ceremony in 2024, which will be held on the evening of January 8th at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater."
