Judges Viet Thanh and Viet Max were surprised by the quality of the contestants of Dalat Best Dance Crew 2025 – Hoa Sen Home International Cup.

Before the final round, judge Viet Thanh, who has accompanied the competition for 4 seasons, expressed his surprise and pride in the quality of this year's contestants. "This year's contestants are very even and even too strong. Many of them have experience from previous seasons, which is clearly shown in each performance. With the group of young dancers, there are some who have been well-trained, with skillful choreography to help cover up their weaknesses ," he shared.

According to Viet Thanh, the technique of this year's contestants is "beyond question", meticulous in every movement, with the ability to handle the stage flexibly and professionally. Although there are still some shortcomings, which are inevitable in any playground, he affirmed: "The general level of current Vietnamese contestants is completely capable of "competing" with international teams".

Choreographer Viet Max also agreed, saying that this year the judges had to work extremely hard: “The selection process for this year’s qualifying round was more difficult than ever for both the judges and the organizing committee, because the overall quality this year was much better than the previous three seasons. All the names that made it to the final round this year are true warriors, carrying within them a burning passion.”

Judge Viet Thanh also praised the humanistic meaning of the program. “I have heard many parents share that they do not understand why their children dance. But when they see the children perform professionally on the big stage, their perspective completely changes. That is the true value that the program brings,” he said.

With the expansion of the playground for primary and secondary school age, the male choreographer believes that this is a valuable opportunity for children to have early contact with the professional stage. He encourages them to observe, learn and boldly try their hand at higher levels in the future.

Despite having been in the profession for many years, judge Viet Thanh admitted that there was still some pressure when taking on the role of judge. Especially in the international category with the participation of professional dancers, the requirements and standards are even higher, creating a bit of a challenge for him.

Judge Viet Max hopes that the dance teams will spread youthful energy and love of dance.

This year, in the international category, there are two outstanding dance groups, Special King Crew (China) and Bitgoeul Dancers (Korea), changing the competition table. Judge Viet Max commented: “These two groups add heat to the tournament. They come from two of Asia’s leading entertainment and dance powers, countries that have been ahead of Vietnam in this field. Surely, they will be formidable opponents, challenging the mettle of the Vietnamese teams.”

However, he also believes that the dance groups from Vietnam are not inferior, creating many impressions with their own strength, promising to create an explosive final night.

Choreographer Viet Max sent advice to the dance groups before the final night. He hoped that the contestants would not focus on winning or losing, but instead would emphasize the spirit of competition and the meaning of the competition. “Conveying youthful energy, a burning love for dance and the spirit of daring to think and do with courage is what is important. Just give it your all on the stage, affirming your unique personal mark no matter what the result is. Because just showing your best is already a brilliant victory,” he shared.
