Sow green seeds, nurture "warmth and prosperity"

Established more than ten years ago, the forestry seedling nursery profession in Ngoc Quan commune, Doan Hung district has gradually become the main profession in the locality with more than 150 households participating. Besides agricultural production, services, trade, and small-scale industry, the forestry seedling nursery profession brings stable income to many households.

To have healthy seedlings, the most important thing is to choose the right soil, usually red basalt soil. After doing all the preparation work, the soil will be packed into the tree pots to prepare for seedling incubation.

Mr. Pham Xuan Yen, owner of a nursery in Zone 10, Ngoc Quan Commune, shared: “Nurturing seedlings is not a hard job, but it requires meticulousness and diligence. From choosing soil, weather, watering, observing the situation of pests and diseases at each stage. The growing green seedlings is the happiness of those who work in the profession like us.”

The sprouts are protected by a roof and closely monitored and cared for to ensure even growth.

The seedling pots are neatly arranged, ready to be loaded onto trucks to cover the forests. On average, each year, large households produce 1 million trees, while small households produce 200,000 trees. From these nurseries, acacia, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and tallow trees have traveled far and wide to cover bare land, bringing a prosperous life to many households and opening the way for sustainable forest economic development in many localities.
