The meeting was organized to commemorate the 160th anniversary of the play "Pinskaya Shlyahta" (The Provincial Nobleman Pink) and the 180th anniversary of the comedy "Idyliya" (The Shepherd's Song) by the Belarusian writer and playwright Vincent Dunin-Martsinkevich, aiming to promote the creative legacy of the classic Belarusian writer and expand intercultural exchange between Vietnam and Belarus.

Vincent Dunin-Martsinkevich (1808-1884) is considered the founder of modern Belarusian literature, as well as Belarusian drama and professional theater. His works are a brilliant chapter in the cultural history of the Belarusian nation.

In the most famous works, such as the play "Pinskaya Shlyakhta" and the comedy "Idiliya," issues like distinguishing truth from falsehood, overcoming ignorance and greed; honoring sincerity, courage, and selflessness for the sake of happiness, love, peace, and goodness... remain relevant today. These values ​​resonate in many other countries, including Vietnam.
