During patrols, inspections, and control operations at sea, especially when carrying out missions to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, he has repeatedly detected unusually moving targets early, promptly reporting to his commanders to implement appropriate handling measures.

Night shifts at sea often last for extended periods in conditions of high waves, strong winds, and limited visibility; even a slight lapse in concentration can lead to unpredictable consequences. Therefore, Captain Nguyen Dinh Duong always maintains composure, high concentration, and closely monitors every signal on the screen... He shared: “I understand that the work of a radar operator is linked to a great responsibility to the ship and my teammates. Every signal appearing on the screen needs to be analyzed, compared, and accurately evaluated. A small mistake can affect the handling of situations. Therefore, during each shift, I always remind myself to concentrate intensely and absolutely not be complacent.”

In 2025, Captain Nguyen Dinh Duong overcame difficulties and participated with the ship's crew in successfully carrying out missions at sea for a total of nearly 150 days, covering a distance of over 5,000 nautical miles; he also directly disseminated information, presented 150 national flags to 65 fishing vessels, and distributed 512 leaflets on legal awareness to 473 fishermen...

Not only is he highly skilled professionally, Captain Nguyen Dinh Duong is also a unifying force within his unit. He always wholeheartedly shares his experience and guides his comrades in improving their skills in operating and using technical equipment, contributing to building a strong and unified team. In his work and daily life, he is always exemplary and humble, earning the trust and respect of the Party committee, commanders, and comrades.
