"Keep the engine room fire burning - Keep the ship's rhythm"

Hidden beneath the ship's deck, where there is no sunlight but the heat of metal, oil, grease, and the incessant roar of the engines, the electromechanical soldiers of the CSB 4033, Squadron 212, Fleet 21, Command of Coast Guard Region 2, silently maintain the "heartbeat" of the ship as it sails out to sea, ensuring each voyage is safe and smooth.

Over 16 years of development and growth, the electromechanical branch of the CSB 4033 vessel, Squadron 212, Regiment 21, Coast Guard Region 2 Command, has firmly affirmed its core role in technical support.

Over 16 years of development and growth (April 30, 2010 - April 30, 2026), with over 50,000 nautical miles of safe voyages and nearly 700 minor repairs, the Mechanical and Electrical branch of the CSB 4033 vessel, Squadron 212, Fleet 21, Command of Coast Guard Region 2, has firmly affirmed its core role in technical support. This is not just a number, but reflects the mastery of technical equipment, the sense of responsibility, and the unwavering resolve of the officers and soldiers of the mechanical and electrical branch; it is a vivid testament to the perseverance, accuracy, and safety in every shift and every voyage.

As one of the ships regularly performing combat readiness duties, patrolling, inspecting, controlling, enforcing maritime law, search and rescue, and participating in protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands, the CSB 4033 always has to operate for long periods at sea, in harsh weather conditions and complex waves, placing very high demands on its machinery and technical equipment.

Therefore, the electromechanical industry always plays a crucial and particularly important role in keeping the ship "alive," ensuring that commands are not interrupted, and guaranteeing that the ship always operates continuously, safely, and efficiently.

Notably, the CSB 4033 was one of the ships that arrived very early on the scene, participating resolutely and effectively in the 2014 Hai Duong 981 oil rig incident. During those tense days, when the ship had to operate at high intensity, constantly maneuvering and facing many complex and sensitive situations, the electrical and mechanical crews in the engine room silently held their positions, ensuring stable propeller rotations and precise operation of each system. Without them, there would have been no timely maneuvers, no effective actions in the field. Success on the ship's deck always begins with steadfastness in the engine room.

Aware of their responsibilities, the technical and mechanical staff of the CSB 4033 ship's vessel always uphold a high sense of responsibility, proactively overcome difficulties, and continuously learn and improve their professional skills. The unit and department regularly organize training according to the motto "basic, practical, and solid," closely aligned with actual tasks, focusing on practical exercises and improving the ability to handle technical incidents at sea.

During long voyages at sea, officers and soldiers of the electromechanical branch always stay close to their machines and ships, maintaining a strict 24/7 watch. Even in rough seas, strong winds, or during peak periods of duty, all technical systems operate stably and with absolute safety. This is the result of the dedication, high sense of responsibility, and unwavering resolve of each officer and soldier in the electromechanical branch.

Maintenance, upkeep, and repair of technical equipment are carried out rigorously in accordance with procedures and regulations. The electromechanical sector has proactively developed plans for regular and unscheduled inspections; promptly detecting and rectifying minor damage, preventing major incidents from occurring.

The movement to promote initiatives and technical improvements has been intensified, and many useful solutions have been applied, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of machinery and saving materials and fuel. Notably, in 2024 and 2025, the head of the electromechanical sector consistently achieved high results at the competition for application software, simulations, training models, application software, simulations, and training lesson plans at the Regional Command level.

The officers and technical staff of the CSB 4033 ship's electromechanical department always uphold a high sense of responsibility, proactively overcome difficulties, and constantly learn, train, and improve their professional skills.

Lieutenant Pham Kha Nhat, Head of the Mechanical and Electrical Department of the CSB 4033 vessel, shared: "We always clearly understand that every machine part, every technical system is directly linked to the safety of the ship and the mission of protecting sovereignty at sea."

Not only are they highly skilled professionals, but the officers and soldiers of the CSB 4033 ship's electrical and mechanical branch also actively participate in building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary and outstanding" unit. Political and ideological education is emphasized, helping the troops develop strong political resolve, absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people; ensuring their peace of mind in their work and readiness to accept and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Over 16 years of development and growth, the electrical and mechanical engineering department of the CSB 4033 vessel has made many important contributions to the unit's overall achievements. Notably, it was awarded the Third Class Order of National Defense by the President of Vietnam in 2014 after its successful operation against the HD 981 oil rig. In addition, the electrical and mechanical engineering department of the CSB 4033 vessel has been awarded the title of "Advanced Unit" for many years.

Building on its glorious traditions, in the coming period, the electromechanical branch of the CSB 4033 vessel will continue to promote learning and mastering new technical equipment; improve the quality of training and combat readiness; strictly maintain regular discipline and management; and contribute to building a strong and comprehensive unit, successfully fulfilling the task of protecting sovereignty, security, and order at sea.

"Strong skills, unwavering belief" is not just a slogan, but has become a guiding principle and a driving force for every officer and soldier in the electrical and mechanical branch of the CSB 4033 ship to continue striving and dedicating themselves, worthy of the trust and affection of the Party, the State, the Army, and the people.
