Specifically, he proactively collected, researched, synthesized, and compiled nearly 100 professional reports on: the situation in the East Sea, maritime security, military intelligence and reconnaissance, incident verification reports as directed by superiors, and specialized reports. He also proactively researched, advised, and assisted the commander of Reconnaissance Unit No. 1 in developing and issuing 55 notices on the sea surface situation for exchange with coordinating units; effectively carried out operational duty; actively coordinated and inspected to thoroughly understand the situation in the sea area under the unit's responsibility, focusing on collecting and researching information on various types of oil rigs, ships, air force activities, military training and exercises, and foreign targets violating Vietnam's maritime territory... He promptly reported and advised the unit commander on handling situations at sea, preventing any passive or unexpected situations.

In addition, as a member and officer of the grassroots Women's Union, she, along with the collective of the Union, actively promoted the effectiveness of mobilizing and educating women to successfully implement the emulation movement "Vietnamese Coast Guard Women: Courageous and Intelligent, Successfully Completing Tasks, Building Happy Families, Worthy of Being Called Soldiers of Uncle Ho in the New Era"; and the campaign "Building Families with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards"... She also actively participated in many campaigns to disseminate information about the Vietnamese Coast Guard Law; the Law on Drug Prevention and Control; and combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing to fishermen in coastal provinces and cities.

In particular, Major Tran Thi Huong Tra has won numerous awards at competitions and sports events, such as second place in three competitions and sports events at the Coast Guard Command level; first place in the competition for outstanding female officers at the Coast Guard Command level, and the excellent award at the all-army level in 2023; and third place in the 2nd Women's Sports Festival of the Army in 2025...

In addition to fulfilling her duties at the unit and participating in the activities of the local Women's Association, she also successfully carried out her role as a woman in the family, raising two young children and caring for her elderly parents while her husband frequently worked away from home.

For her efforts and achievements, Major Tran Thi Huong Tra was recently awarded the first Vietnam Coast Guard Women's Award by the Vietnam Coast Guard Command. At the award ceremony, Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard, assessed that the first Vietnam Coast Guard Women's Award is not only an honorary title but also a recognition of the women in the naval uniform who silently dedicate themselves with devotion, courage, and responsibility.
