Creative methods

In the 2025-2026 school year, Ba Chúc commune will have 3 preschool education facilities: 1 preschool and 2 kindergartens. As one of the bright spots in the entire commune, Le Tri Kindergarten has over 275 children, of which over 50% are ethnic minority children, and 10 teachers directly involved in teaching. In recent school years, the school's management board has effectively implemented the program to strengthen Vietnamese language skills for ethnic minority children. Ms. Huynh Thi My Qui, Principal of Le Tri Kindergarten, stated that with the efforts of the management board and the entire staff and teachers, the school ensures that 100% of ethnic minority children receive support in strengthening Vietnamese language skills appropriate to their age.

To ensure that the Vietnamese language gradually permeates the minds of young children naturally and without coercion, pedagogical methods play a crucial role. At Le Tri Kindergarten, the school administration directs teachers to focus on developing children's Vietnamese listening and speaking skills through activities such as reading books, practicing pronunciation, and recognizing words through objects, toys, pictures, plants, etc. Simultaneously, they organize learning, play, and creative experiential activities, building a rich Vietnamese-speaking environment.

One of the outstanding initiatives is the establishment of local corners and library corners in classrooms and school locations. Teachers demonstrate meticulous attention to detail by labeling learning materials, decorative images, and plants inside and outside the classrooms with Vietnamese names, helping children easily recognize and access the language. When children see the names of objects identified in Vietnamese, they will remember them passively but deeply and lastingly.

To overcome the initial psychological barriers of shyness in children, human resources are strategically deployed. Currently, about 50% of teachers directly teaching children from ethnic minority groups can use the children's mother tongue, thereby effectively supporting communication and teaching. This advantage helps teachers easily explain, comfort, and guide the children during their initial days of unfamiliarity with the classroom...

Children communicate and learn confidently.

The joy of going to school and immersing oneself in a vibrant Vietnamese-speaking environment is clearly reflected in the children's radiant faces. Son Tha Vinl, a student in Class Leaf 1 at Le Tri Kindergarten, shared: “I like coming to class because the teacher teaches me to speak Vietnamese, and I get to play with my friends. Now I talk to the teacher and my friends more than before, and I'm very happy!” Son Tha Vinl's innocent yet enthusiastic statement is the most authentic measure of the success of the innovative efforts at Le Tri Kindergarten.

Assessing the overall educational landscape after a long period of effort, Ms. Huynh Thi My Qui shared: “Since implementing the enhanced Vietnamese language program, children have become more confident and assertive in communication; their vocabulary and expressive abilities have improved significantly. Children are enthusiastic about participating in learning and play activities and use Vietnamese regularly in their daily lives. Parents also actively cooperate with the school in training their children in Vietnamese. As a result, children have an easier time entering first grade, contributing to improving the overall quality of education in the locality.”

The achievements of Le Tri Kindergarten stem from the strategic direction of the local government. According to Ms. Luu Thi My Linh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Chuc Commune: “The locality always prioritizes directing schools to strengthen Vietnamese language skills for ethnic minority children. We consider this a fundamental solution to improve the overall quality of education, creating conditions for children to develop equally and confidently integrate into society.”

In recent years, Ba Chúc commune has focused on investing heavily in infrastructure and teaching equipment in areas with a large ethnic minority population. The communication efforts have also been flexibly reformed to change parents' perceptions of the importance of their children attending school regularly. This approach has created a strong bond between families and schools in the education of students.
