Specifically, the company representative said that domestic advertisers will carry out tax procedures through Google Vietnam LLC instead of Google Asian Pacific. The conversion will be implemented from April 1, 2025.

The company informed that it currently has a team of on-site staff to better serve advertising customers in Vietnam and support the national digital transformation process.

It is known that Google Vietnam's tax code was registered in May 2023, with an address in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Marc Woo - Google's CEO in charge of the Vietnam and Asia-Pacific markets has also moved from Singapore to live in Ho Chi Minh City.

Google rates Vietnam as a market with a strongly developing digital economy , among the top in Southeast Asia. At the same time, Vietnam also has a great demand for AI.

Mr. Marc Woo assessed: the online media sector in Vietnam has the fastest growth rate in Southeast Asia and more and more Vietnamese developers are creating global influence with popular applications for users worldwide .

According to Google's report, Vietnam's online media industry is on track to reach 6 billion USD with a compound growth rate of 14% compared to the same period in 2023 and is expected to reach 11 billion USD by 2030.
