Greenwood returns to Manchester

Mason Greenwood has made a surprise return to Manchester, taking advantage of the summer break to train and maintain his fitness with his former Manchester United teammates.

After leaving Manchester United in 2022, Mellor now plays for Macclesfield FC under the management of former player Robbie Savage. Macclesfield is a club competing in the National League North, the sixth tier of English football.

As for Greenwood, after a loan spell at Getafe (scoring 10 goals in 36 games), he moved to Marseille for £26.6 million and immediately proved his class. However, the 23-year-old striker is reportedly eager to return to England to be closer to his girlfriend Harriet Robson and their two young children.

Multiple sources reveal that Greenwood has attracted interest from at least two unnamed Premier League clubs. Additionally, Serie A, La Liga, or even the Saudi Pro League could be his next destination if he leaves Marseille.

However, it is highly likely that Greenwood will not leave Marseille this summer. If the French club sells the player outright in the future, MU will receive 50% of the transfer fee.
