Greenwood returns to Manchester

Mason Greenwood unexpectedly returned to Manchester, taking advantage of the summer vacation to practice and maintain fitness with his former teammates at Manchester United.

After leaving MU in 2022, Mellor is now playing for Macclesfield FC under the guidance of former player Robbie Savage. Macclesfield is a club competing in the National League North, the 6th division of the English football league system.

As for Greenwood, after a season on loan at Getafe (scoring 10 goals in 36 games), he moved to Marseille for £26.6m and immediately showed his class. However, the 23-year-old striker is said to be eager to return to England to be closer to his girlfriend Harriet Robson and two young children.

Multiple sources have revealed that Greenwood has received interest from at least two unnamed Premier League clubs, while Serie A, La Liga or even the Saudi Pro League could also be the next destination if he leaves Marseille.

However, it is unlikely that Greenwood will leave Marseille this summer. If the French club sells the player outright in the future, MU will receive 50% of the transfer fee.
